The Failsafe[script 1][1] was a monster that would be activated in case the Highbreed lost the war on Earth. It was activated by a Highbreed officer when his hibernation pod accidentally opened up due to an earthquake.
Appearance
The Failsafe looked like a giant Highbreed with red eyes covered in trees, soil, and other organic matter. The face and the lower sections of its limbs were primarily composed of roots, while the rest of the body was a darker rock. The back of the upper arms and the top of the shoulders were also covered in greenery. The monster was the size of Way Big.

Inside the Failsafe is a nerve center containing the core that keeps it alive. A giant colored ball is connected to red plant wires over the seat where the 'host' sits and becomes connected to the core, powering it.
History
Alien Force
The Failsafe only appeared in If All Else Fails, where months after the war against the Highbreed ended, it was finally activated by a Highbreed officer who had been in a state of hibernation. He sent it to bring Max and several people for it. Once active, it began its task of absorbing energy in order to carry out its operation. Ben and the team entered the Failsafe to turn it off, but to achieve it, they had to remove Max, who acted as its brain. By doing that, they caused the Failsafe to almost crush the Twin Mesa Nuclear Plant, which could explode if the Failsafe did not move. Fortunately, the Highbreed that activated it controlled it and at the same time, destroyed itself along with it, thus saving most of the people who were kidnapped.
Powers and Abilities
The Failsafe was capable of drawing and absorbing nuclear and radioactive energy from power stations through physical contact, adding it to itself. Had the Failsafe succeeded in sucking power plant dry, it would explode, and the resulting fallout would kill all life on Earth within minutes.[2][1]
Thanks to its size and composure, the Failsafe possesses tremendous strength and is invulnerable to external attacks. Conventional weaponry is useless against it, and it is capable of swatting away a 60-foot-tall Vaxasaurian with one swipe. The failsafe can also instantly regenerate its internal structure.
Due to having several dozens of human beings acting as its nervous system, the Failsafe was aware of everything that happens within its body, and can send out "antibodies" to attack invading organisms.
As a plant-like being, the Failsafe nourished itself by converting moisture and sunlight into motion energy.
Weaknesses

The Failsafe required several hosts to control its motor functions properly and once they are removed, it collapses, falling apart and rotting rapidly. While normally impossible due to its rapid regeneration, species that control flora like Swampfire are able to sever its brain connection.
While physically invulnerable, the Failsafe possesses an exhaust port that expels gases to the atmosphere, leaving a potential opening for attackers to enter its body.
