Tech Blasters[Bandai 1] are a type of firearm used by the Plumbers, intended to be top-secret.[3][4]
Appearance
Tech blasters are primarily-green firearms with a black barrel, handle and pistol grip. A Plumber Badge/Galvan tech symbol is placed on the sides of the rifle, with two magazines protruding from it. The exact appearance of a tech blaster can shift, with the most drastic transformation having it appear in the shape of a briefcase. Tech blasters lacking a Plumber Badge or a Galvan tech symbol have simple gray circles in their place.
Functions
The tech blasters are capable of firing green neutrino[5][4] blasts. They can also fold into a briefcase-like shape. They can be somehow augmented using a Plumber Badge.[6]
History
Ultimate Alien
In The Ultimate Enemy: Part 1, a Forever Knight wielded a tech blaster, but lost it when they were assaulted by two Esoterica. Kevin retrieved the weapon and inserted his Plumber Badge into the device, using it to fight off the Esoterica army. Upon retreating to Gwen's house, Kevin tinkered with the weapon.
In The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2, Kevin continued to use the tech blaster to fight the Esoterica, though he eventually lost it.
Omniverse
In Mud is Thicker Than Water, multiple tech blasters were stolen with Gorvan's help for Psyphon's gang's use. At first, they were used to square off against Ben and Patelliday in Undertown. Later, they were used by the gang in an attempt to steal the Annihilarrgh from a Plumber ship, as well as in the shoot-out at a warehouse.

Trivia
- The tech blaster originated as a toy from the Ultimate Alien toy line, comprised of five parts. It was also sold under the alternate name of "Plumber Tech Kit".[Bandai 2]
- A commercial identifies the parts as a power core, a multi-scope, a scanner, a decoder, and a mini-blaster.[TRU 1]
- During the pre-production phase of Omniverse, the tech blaster was intended to reappear as the "Omnitool",[outline 1][7] an idea that was reworked into Rook's Proto-Tool.
