Speed Demons are a type of demons that possess vehicles.
Appearance
Speed Demons look semi-translucent, de-saturated grey-blue phantom-like creatures, several times the size of an Ectonurite. Along with circular eyes, glowing yellow, their distinguishing feature are their large gear-shapes appearing to float inside the shoulder-blade area of their bodies.
Behavior
Speed Demons exist in their own interdimensional realms while possessing vehicles.
There are two ways for a cursed Speed Demon to be relesed. They can either find a new host for the vehicle and pass the curse onto them, or someone needs to be able to best them in a race, without the demon intentionally slowing to lose.
Powers and Abilities
Speed Demons can curse other beings, such as Humans and Ectonurites, to convert them into Speed Demons and trap them in vehicles, as it is revealed that Animus was cursed by another Speed Demon, and Gwen was also about to be turned into a Speed Demon due to being inside the car during Animus' race with Ben.
Speed Demons use other living beings' spirits to fuel the vehicles they possess.
Speed Demons are limited to the confines of their vehicles, but at times, they are able to reach outside the vehicle momentarily.
