Splugs are a genetic hybrid of slugs and brussels sprouts engineered by the Plumbers.^{[1][PoE 1]}

History

30 Years Prior to Protector of Earth

During Max's tenure with them, the Plumbers were cross-breeding slugs with brussels sprouts as part of a program to engineer potential bioweapons. The experiment fell short; however, they found use for them as a source of vitamin-rich vegetables.^{[1][PoE 1]}

Protector of Earth

As the Tennysons moved across the northeastern United States to Crater Lake, Max fed Ben and Gwen "Splug au Gratin", disgusting the two of them. Before they could eat, they were interrupted by group of Thornhounds surrounding the RV. After Ben dealt with the infestation of alien plant life in the area, he asks for a reward, and Max gives him his plate of Splugs to finish.
