Prologue
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| The Tennysons check in to a fancy hotel in New York City. | |
| Gwen | Wow, this hotel has everything! Indoor pool, full day spa... |
| Max | Now, don't get used to it, it's only for one night. |
| Ben, who was bored, suddenly sees a Sumo Slammers-brand kiosk installed in the mall. | |
| Ben | Woah, the new Sumo Slammer video game's in there! |
| As he reaches the entrance, a guard stops him. | |
| Guard | Pass? |
| Ben | (fumbling around in his pockets) Uh, must've left it inside. I'm one of the game pros testing out the system! |
| Guard | VIPs only. |
| Ben drops the act and slumps back on over to Gwen and Max. | |
| Max | I know what you're thinking, so no sneaking back in there. |
| Ben | I won't! |
| Ben waits for them to leave and smugly turns on the Omnitrix. An invisible Ghostfreak flies up next to the guard. | |
| Ghostfreak | But he will! |
| Ghostfreak flies past the confused guard to where the game is being held and picks up the controller. | |
| Ghostfreak | The ultimate sneaky peak...for the ghost with the most freak! |
| At an elevator, Max pauses before pressing the 'up' button. He looks behind him. | |
| Max | Ben? |
| "HI SCORE 500,000" flashes on the game's screen. | |
| Ben | Yes! New high score! |
| The guard walks up to Ben and grabs his shoulder. | |
| Guard | What do ya got to say for yourself, kid? |
| Ben | Uhh, "game over"? |

Act 1
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| Ben, Gwen, and Max are kicked out of the hotel. The guard throws them their luggage. | |
| Guard | And never come back! |
| Max | (to Ben) I told you not to sneak back in there. |
| Ben | Well if you want to get all technical about it... |
| Gwen | (growing angrily) I never even got a chance to take a shower, in a real shower for the first time all summer! Plus, they had a spa. A spa! Nice going, doofus. |
| In the Rustbucket, Max is scolding Ben. | |
| Max | How do you expect me to trust you if you keep misusing the watch? |
| Ben | Excuse me, I used it 100 times for good! Why can't I use it just once for me? |
| Max | It's not how many times you use it Ben, it's how you use it! |
| Ben | It was no big deal. |
| Max | -To you. And that's all you care about! So, no more 'Sumo Slammers' stuff for 2 weeks! No comics, no trading cards, no-! |
| Ben | -Fair! |
| Max | Neither is getting booted from a 4-star hotel I already paid for! |
| Ben | Fine, take it out my allowance! |
| Gwen | You don't get an allowance... |
| Ben & Max | (to Gwen) Stay out of this! (Gwen silently lowers in her chair.) |
| Ben | This is my vacation, too! You can't always tell me what to do. You're not my dad. |
| Max is stunned. Gwen becomes shocked by these words too | |
| Max | Well, if I was, I... (calming down) Look I'm going back to the hotel and see if I can get at least some of my money back. I'll be back in a few minutes. |
| Ben walks past him to the back of the RV, closing the curtains. | |
| Ben | Don't hurry! |
| Gwen | He'll be fine. |
| Max leaves. Gwen can hear Ben throwing things on the ground. | |
| Ben | Not fair! NOT FAIR! TOTALLY NOT FAIR! |
| Gwen | Glad to see you're handling things so maturely. |
| Ben opens the curtains, glares at her, and walks out the door. | |
| Gwen | Where do you think you're going? |
| Ben | Where does it look like? Out! |
| Gwen | Get back here! |
| Ben | Sorry, I don't speak 'dweeb'. |
| Gwen | You're going to be so grounded! |
| Gwen follows Ben to an arcade in the city. She stares at its sign: "Total Zone". | |
| Gwen | (sigh) Next summer, I'm going to sleepaway camp... |
| Inside, Ben sees many people his age playing on arcade machines. Ben boots up a baseball-batting game. As the digital pitcher throws the ball, the screen immediately flashes "Game Over". | |
| Ben | "Game Over"? It just started! (to a nearby employee) This thing ate my tokens! |
| Employee | Read the sign, kid. It says "play at your own risk"...? (He walks away.) |
| Ben | This place is a ripoff, you know that? |
| A kid with long dark hair standing near Ben chimes in. | |
| Dark-Haired Kid | You're right. The games here stink. |
| Ben | Yeah, but not as bad as his breath! MAJOR case of 'sewer mouth'! |
| Dark-Haired Kid | (chuckling) You're funny! Here, you owe me one. |
| The kid lays his hand on a machine. Electricity shoots out from his hand and the machine spews out a mountain of gold tokens. | |
| Ben | Woah, how'd you do that?! |
| Dark-Haired Kid | I got some skills... |
| Ben excitedly digs in to the mountain, just as Gwen finds him. | |
| Gwen | We can't take those, they're not ours! |
| Ben | They are now! (He stands up with a small pile of tokens in his hands, looking to the kid.) Thanks! I'm Ben. |
| Kevin | Kevin. |
| Ben | Wanna play some air hockey? |
| Kevin spots two thuggish kids behind Ben and Gwen. | |
| Kevin | Nah, I gotta bail. (He walks off in the other direction.) |
| Gwen | He's total trouble. |
| Ben | He seemed OK to me. |
| The two thuggish kids walk forward, bumping Ben and Gwen aside. As they follow Kevin, a half-bald kid and a strong-armed kid block Kevin's way, surprising him. | |
| Half-Bald Kid | Long time, no see. Where you going, freak? Home to recharge your batteries? |
| Kevin backs up; the two behind him each grab one of his arms. Ben steps forward. | |
| Ben | (to Kevin) Need some help? |
| Strong-Armed Kid | Heh, he's gonna need a lot more than you. (He knocks Ben backward.) Now beat it! |
| Ben | (getting up) I've got some skills too... |
| Gwen | Ben, don't! |
| Ben runs around a corner and slams the Omnitrix, turning into XLR8. | |
| Kevin | So, how's the hangout? Still trashed like I left it for you? |
| Strong-Armed Kid | Yeah, and you're gonna pay! You can't take us all alone, freak! |
| XLR8 | But I can! |
| Half-Bald Kid | (laughing at XLR8) Little early for Halloween, dude, isn't it? |
| XLR8 speeds over to them and runs around, creating a tornado that lifts up the strong-armed kid. He shrieks. XLR8 stops spinning and whips him away as he falls back down. He disappears in a blur. | |
| Half-Bald Kid | Where'd he go-? |
| Kevin and the two holding him turn around. The half-bald kid that was just talking disappeared behind them. Another is picked off and they are all rushed over to where the strong-armed kid fell. As the last kid lets go of Kevin and backs up, XLR8 appears behind him and lifts his mask. | |
| XLR8 | "Trick or treat"! |
| The kid runs away screaming. XLR8 waves to Kevin and zooms away. Kevin smiles. | |
| Outside the arcade, | |
| Gwen | I can't believe you went alien! |
| Ben | He helped me, so I helped him. You wouldn't get it! And neither would Grandpa. THAT'S the problem! |
| Kevin joins them. | |
| Kevin | You see what that speed guy did to those losers?! |
| Ben | Yeah! Dude's name is XLR8! In fact, we're pretty tight. |
| Kevin | Cool! Hey, want a tour of New York? |
| Gwen | You keep Grandpa waiting any longer, he's going to pop another gasket! We gotta go? Like now, Ben! |
| Ben | Don't you mean you have to go? |
| Gwen | ...You're on your own. (She walks away.) |
| Ben | Good, that's the way I want it! |
| The two boys walk through the city. | |
| Ben | So, how'd you get your power? |
| Kevin | I was born with it! I'm like an energy sponge. Motors, air conditioners, lights, batteries, whatever! Soak it up, then dish it out when I have to... or want to. |
| Ben | Cool! |
| Kevin | Come on! I'll show you where I live! |
| Gwen gets back to the Rustbucket. | |
| Max | Where's Ben? |
| Max is waiting for her, very angry. | |
| Gwen | (nervous) Hehe, yeah, about that... |
| The boys arrive at an abandoned subway station. A few TVs and game consoles sit on the floor, an ATM sits next to the abandoned ticket booth, and a tattered Sumo Slammers poster hangs on the wall. | |
| Ben | You live here? |
| Kevin | Yeah, by myself! |
| Ben | What about your family? |
| Kevin | Long gone! They weren't too thrilled having a "freak" for a son, but it just means I don't answer to nobody! |
| Ben | Sounds good to me! So, why was that gang after you? |
| Kevin | (embarrassed) I kinda trashed their hangout under the 39th Street bridge. Oh, what about you? Sounds like your grandpa's pretty steamed at you. |
| Ben | Like usual. And all I did was sneak in and play the new Sumo Slammer video game! |
| Kevin | The one that won't be out until Christmas? |
| Ben | Yeah. |
| Kevin gets a look in his eye. | |
| Come nighttime, the boys run up to the entrance of a warehouse. | |
| Kevin | I got a tip a new shipment just came in. |
| Kevin runs up to the door's keypad and overloads it with electricity. | |
| Kevin | Help me kick in the door! |
| As the boys kick it down, they don't notice a sensor quietly beeping. Kevin turns on the lights. Ben is amazed to see hundreds of stacked wooden crates, all marked 'Sumo Slammers'. | |
| Ben | Wooooooah...! |
| Kevin opens a crate; it's full of copies of the new video game. He tosses one Ben's way. | |
| Kevin | Check it out! Wait's over, dude! |
| Ben | Hee hee, yes! |
| Suddenly, smoke grenades come crashing through the windows of the warehouse, lights from helicopters shine through the window. The place is surrounded! | |
Act 2
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| Ben and Kevin cough from the smoke. | |
| Ben | What do we do? |
| Kevin | Get out of here! |
| Kevin drops his copy of the game and bolts. Ben does the same. They run to an entrance, but a helicopter light shines on them. They turn around and Ben runs away, while Kevin rushes to the nearest outlet. Ben goes for another entrance, but armed SWAT soldiers burst through the door. Kevin charges himself up with electricity. | |
| SWAT Soldier | Freeze, punks! |
| As the soldiers look for the kids, Kevin hops in an unpowered forklift and charges it with his hand. | |
| Kevin | Time to "rev things up"! |
| The forklift speeds forward. Kevin ditches it right before it collides into a soldier and knocks him into boxes. | |
| Kevin | (to Ben) Let's go! |
| Kevin and Ben run out of the last exit, facing water. Two police cars arrive, blocking both roads next to them, and a helicopter hovers in front of them. They run back into the warehouse and hide behind a box. | |
| Ben | Great, no way out! |
| Kevin | Any ideas? |
| Ben | (looking to his Omnitrix) Only one, but can you keep a secret? |
| Kevin | ...Sure! |
| Soldiers march into the entrance and block it. Ben turns on the Omnitrix and cycles through it. | |
| Kevin | What are you doing with your watch? |
| Ben excitedly slams it down and turns into Stinkfly. Kevin smiles at him until- | |
| Kevin | Ugh, you reek! |
| Stinkfly | I knooow! |
| Stinkfly, with Kevin in his arms, flies out of the entrance, knocking back the soldiers. Stinkfly flies across the water, helicopters chasing after. | |
| Kevin | (letting his feet touch the water) Oh yeah! And people call me a freak! How'd you do that? |
| Stinkfly | Talk later. |
| The two look behind them. In each helicopter, a soldier with a gun hangs out from the side and fires at them. Stinkfly zigzags around the shots and flies toward the Statue of Liberty. He comes up to the statue's face and slaloms in between the points on her crown, Kevin kicking his feet against them. The helicopters fly around the statue and back. | |
| Helicopter Pilot | Where'd they go? |
| As the helicopters return to formation, Stinkfly has hitched a ride on the underside of one. | |
| Stinkfly | I'm running out of time! I'll lose them in the city. |
| The gunman on the opposite helicopter spots Stinkfly and shoots, forcing him off the underside. Stinkfly evades their shots and makes his way to the city. They don't stop following. | |
| Stinkfly | Uh oh. |
| Stinkfly takes cover in between traffic and on the front of a tour bus, terrifying the people inside. They even fly over the Rustbucket at one point. In Times Square, a reporter is being broadcasted to a screen when Stinkfly flies in front of her shot. The cameraman projects Stinkfly on the screen and he stops to notice. Kevin makes a peace sign. The helicopters shoot at them, hitting the screen and chasing them out of the square. | |
| Stinkfly | Can't shake 'em! |
| Stinkfly keeps flying until he sees a truck hauling multiple cars on a road below them. | |
| Stinkfly | I've got an idea! |
| Stinkfly makes his way to the car-hauling truck, as it approaches an underpass. While Stinkfly can fit underneath it, the helicopters are forced to lift up. | |
| Helicopter Pilot | We'll get 'em on the other side! |
| They come to the end of the underpass and stop to look for Stinkfly. | |
| Helicopter Pilot | Where'd that thing go? |
| Ben peeps his head up. He and Kevin are in one of the cars being carried, Stinkfly having detransformed while under. | |
| Kevin | (fist pumping) Yeah! |
| Later, the boys run with the sound of a police siren in the distance. They stop and catch their breath in a lone alley. | |
| Kevin | So, that watch lets you be that dragonfly thing whenever you want? |
| Ben | And not just that one. It sends out this special energy, so I can turn into ten different aliens! |
| Kevin | Ten?! So the speed guy at the arcade was you? |
| Ben | Uh-huh. |
| Kevin | You're the MAN! Show me what other aliens you can morph into! |
| Ben | It's not that simple. It has a mind of its own. |
| He shows Kevin the watch, glowing red. Kevin reaches for it. | |
| Kevin | Gimme it! Maybe I can make it work. |
| Ben | Can't. It's stuck on my wrist... |
| Kevin thinks for a moment. | |
| Kevin | We should be partners! Between the two of us, with our powers? We could do whatever we want, whenever we want! I mean, totally cash in! What do you say? Friends? |
| He offers his hand to Ben. Ben shakes it. | |
| Ben | Friends. |
| The Rustbucket continues to drive through New York City. Gwen sits in front with Max and adjusts the radio. | |
| Max | Of all the stunts Ben's pulled, THIS is the worst! When I find him...! |
| Gwen | (sigh) I should really be enjoying this... So why aren't I? |
| Meanwhile, in a subway station, Kevin and Ben hop over the ticket checks. They come into the empty station, which has two tracks on the floor. | |
| Kevin | Check it out! (He notices a light fixture.) Gimme a boost, I need to recharge! |
| Ben helps up Kevin, who absorbs electricity from the light. He hops off Ben and runs onto the empty tracks, gripping a switch. He charges the switch with electricity, causing the rails on one track to shift and connect to the other. | |
| Ben | What are we doing? |
| Kevin | A money train loaded with cash comes down this track, so when it crashes into the incoming passenger train? Boom! Instant - jackpot! You turn into that XLR8 guy and we're outta here! |
| Ben | But, hundreds of innocent people will be killed! |
| Kevin | Hey, "no pain, no gain". |
| Ben | You can't do this! |
| Kevin | Sure we can! I just switched the tracks! |
| Ben | I mean I'm not gonna let you do this. |
| Kevin's smile drops. | |
| Kevin | We shook... We're partners. |
| Ben | No, this is going way too far! |
| Kevin | Then try and stop me, 'watch boy'! |
| Ben | You don't care about anyone else but yourself. |
| Kevin | You talkin' about me?! |
| Ben | No, I'm talking about me! |
| Ben charges towards Kevin, who grabs him and throws him to the ground. As Ben gets up, Kevin's hands start sparking. | |
| Kevin | Ohohoho, you do not want to make me mad! |
| Ben | Me neither! I'm switching the track back! (He turns on the Omnitrix.) Time to go Four Arms! |
| He slams it down and turns into Heatblast. He looks at himself. | |
| Heatblast | Ugh, stupid watch. |
| Kevin smiles and walks towards him. Heatblast extends a flaming hand. | |
| Heatblast | Move back! |
| Kevin | Or what? You gonna burn my dinner? |
| Heatblast | Fight me, you're the one who's gonna be burned! |
| Kevin glances behind him. He turns and runs to a generator next to the track switch. He grips it and uses it to absorb all of the electricity. Heatblast looks around as the lights around him pop out and glass shatters; the entire subway station goes dark; his flame is the only source of light. Heatblast looks over to the generator, but Kevin isn't there anymore. Kevin sneaks up behind him and jumps on his back. As Heatblast flails, Kevin tries absorbing him with his right hand. Energy travels up his arm and he screams, his body repelling and flying off of Heatblast. Heatblast looks at him concerningly and tries to approach, but gets blasted back by fire, causing an explosion. As Heatblast gets up, he gets a good look at Kevin: the entire right side of his upper body and head has been transformed to have his same rocky fiery skin. | |
| Kevin's Pyronite Mutation | Sike! I absorb energy, remember? |
| Heatblast | (getting up) You don't have to do this! |
| Heatblast rushes Kevin, but he moves out of the way and blasts him in the back with an intense wave of fire. Heatblast falls to his knees on a track. | |
| Kevin's Pyronite Mutation | It's time I got what's coming to me. Nobody's calling me 'freak' anymore! |
| Heatblast suddenly hears a train horn to his left, seeing a passenger train come barreling down the track. Then, a second horn. | |
| Heatblast | (gasps) |
| The cargo train comes down that same track, on his right. | |
| Kevin's Pyronite Mutation | Payday. |
Act 3
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| Quickly thinking, Heatblast shoots fire at the track switch, melting it and causing the switch to short-circuit back to its first position. The passengers are saved; meanwhile, the cargo train is about to ram into Heatblast. Heatblast forms a fire tornado. The train conductor braces for impact, but the train simply goes right through the fire. Heatblast has disappeared. Kevin looks around the now empty station, puzzled. | |
| Kevin's Pyronite Mutation | Forget the money! Time to get some priceless revenge! |
| As the cargo train speeds through the subway tunnels, Heatblast lies on top of the train's roof, gripping the edge. His grip slips and he tumbles down a couple cars. He saves himself, but can't nearly keep this grip up for long, so he melts through the roof with his hand and holds on that way. | |
| In the Rustbucket, | |
| Radio Announcer (VO) | -And expect delays on the uptown subway lines near 51st Street. There have been reports of fires breaking out all over the tunnels. |
| Gwen | Grandpa? |
| Max | I know. |
| Max spins the Rustbucket around and drives to the subway lines. | |
| Meanwhile, the Omnitrix starts beeping red. | |
| Heatblast | Oh man! I hate that sound! |
| Heatblast turns back into Ben, who struggles more to hold on, as the train exits the tunnel and rides across the overhead subway lines in the city. | |
| Ben | (straining) Come on, hold on...! |
| A horn suddenly honks next to Ben. The Rustbucket is there, driving alongside the subway, swerving past cars going the other way. Max flips a switch, which brings out the RV's side rolling tarp. Max spots a sign coming up in front of Ben and swerves the RV to the other side of the road, so the tarp is closer to him. They continue honking at Ben. | |
| Ben | (seeing the sign approaching) Ooh, that's gonna hurt! |
| Ben leaps off just in time, the tarp catching him perfectly. | |
| Gwen | Nice catch, Grandpa! |
| Later, Max scolds Ben again inside the parked Rustbucket. | |
| Max | Are you ever planning on listening to me? None of this would have happened if you just obeyed me from the beginning! It's all about trust! |
| Ben | Then trust me that Kevin's probably misusing Heatblast's power right now! |
| Gwen | Grandpa, Ben's right. There's no telling what he could do now! |
| Max | Okay...so where is he? |
| Ben | ...I think I know! |
| Fire erupts under the 39th street bridge, at the thugs' hideout. | |
| Strong-Armed Kid | Uhh! Kevin! We can work this out! |
| Kevin's Pyronite Mutation | (brandishing his fiery arm) I don't think so. |
| The Rustbucket is stuck in traffic. Max honks the horn. | |
| Max | Move it! |
| Ben | Going Stinkfly! See you at the 39th Street bridge! |
| He slams the Omnitrix and instead turns into Four Arms, his giant body curled up inside the Rustbucket, unable to move. | |
| Four Arms | Great. NOW I turn into Four Arms! |
| Four Arms manages to get out the door and leaps on the roofs of the cars in traffic. | |
| At the hideout, all four kids are stuck under a large pipe. Kevin crosses his arms. | |
| Kevin's Pyronite Mutation | Hah! So much for your gang! |
| Suddenly, Kevin returns to normal. His fire extinguishes and his rocks detach from his skin. | |
| Kevin | Huh? What's going on? |
| Four Arms lands behind him. | |
| Four Arms | Your power's gone! |
| Kevin | Looks like you're about to give me some more, Ben! |
| Four Arms | No! |
| Kevin | You don't have a choice! (He walks over to the four kids, lighting up his hands.) I still got enough juice to fry these guys! |
| Four Arms clutches Kevin, throwing off his aim just as he shoots from his hands. Kevin smugly absorbs Four Arms' arms wrapped around him. Laughing manically, he grows a third arm and punches Four Arms away. Kevin laughs as his skin turns red and his left eye morphs into two yellow eyes. Four Arms is stunned. Kevin runs up to him, grows a third set of arms, and punches Four Arms so hard he goes flying back. | |
| Kevin | (voice deepening) Hahahaha, this is gonna be REAL fun! |
| Four Arms | TELL me about it! |
| The two square off and lock fists. | |
| Kevin's Tetramand Mutation | I'm taking ALL your alien powers! |
| The two throw each other into walls and punch each other; Kevin winning, overwhelming Four Arms. As they fight, the Rustbucket parks on the bridge and Max and Gwen get out and help lift the pipe off the thugs. | |
| Max | "Moving day". Get out! |
| Kevin throws Four Arms into a wall and pounces on him. Four Arms struggles to hold his fists back when the Omnitrix starts beeping red. | |
| Four Arms | No! |
| In a flash of willpower, before the beeping stops, Four Arms kicks Kevin back, runs up to him, and punches him in the face over and over and over, sending Kevin flying back into a column of the bridge, knocking it down on him. | |
| Kevin's Tetramand Mutation | Come on! I-I give, I give! I'm sorry! (Four Arms detransforms.) Please, just...lighten up. |
| Ben | I just did, by about 300 pounds. |
| Kevin's Tetramand Mutation | ...I guess I went too wild with power. I don't have anyone else like you to help me. |
| Ben | We can still be partners. We'd just be kicking butts for good, instead of for ourselves! You could hang with us! (motioning to Max and Gwen) |
| Kevin's Tetramand Mutation | ...W-What's in it for me? |
| Ben | For starters, people will like you! |
| Ben offers him his hand. Instead of taking it, Kevin grabs Ben's arm and lifts him up by it, pinching at the Omnitrix. | |
| Max | Ben! (Max runs to Kevin, but he bats him away.) |
| Kevin's Tetramand Mutation | Hoho, man, you are so dim! (cutesy) Your mommy drop you on your head when you were a little baby? (ruthless) Now gimme that watch! |
| Ben | You're the one who's dim, I told you I can't! |
| As Kevin tries to pry off the Omnitrix, it suddenly glows green and sends out a large feedback of green energy, launching Ben into Max's arms and launching Kevin into the other side of the bridge, causing it to collapse. Kevin gets up, back in human form. | |
| Kevin | (looking at his hands) Noooo! |
| He runs away. | |
| In the morning, the Rustbucket drives out of the city. | |
| Ben | I'm sorry, Grandpa. For everything. |
| Max | I know you are. You're my grandson and nothing will ever change that. But my trust is something you'll have to earn back. |
| Ben lowers his head and Gwen slumps in the passenger seat. | |
| Somewhere in the abandoned subway tunnels, Kevin sits by himself in the dark. | |
| Kevin | Oh, if they thought I was a freak before? Just wait! (His hand lights on fire.) |
| Kevin's laugh echoes through the tunnels. | |
