	Inside Man

Prologue

Speaker	Dialogue
A semi-truck speeds down a desert road at night. The truck rides the tail of a blue car and signals to pass. The car switches lanes, and the car driver sees the truck's driver: a young man with dark hair nervously sweating.
That same truck is in a DNAlien lair, with something covered by a tarp being loaded in.
In Los Soledad, construction continues on the Arch, pieces of it being lifted up by rope.
A Xenocite floats in a tube filled with a green liquid and snarls.
A Highbreed turns around.
The man sneaks past DNAliens guarding the truck. The man starts the truck–catching the attention of the DNAliens–and barrels through the garage door outside.
The truck starts to swerve as the man's vision blurs. Having a headache, the man shakes and catches his head.
Man	Ugh.
The truck veers completely off the road and down a cliff, crashing into a rock formation. Undeterred, the man crawls out of the truck and walks away.
Walking along the side of the road, the man stops as a pick-up truck pulls up next to him. The man enters the truck.
Driver	Name's Jeff.
The man pulls out his wallet and reads his ID.
Man	Uh... Tyler.
Jeff	(chuckles) You gotta look it up?
Tyler pulls out a guitar pick and examines it.
Tyler	The aliens did something to my mind, but I still have to find a way to stop them.
Jeff stares at Tyler. Cut to outside the truck, which drives by without Tyler. Tyler resumes walking down the road.
Theme Plays

Act 1

Speaker	Dialogue
At a police station, Tyler is silent as he is being questioned with cops surrounding him.
Sergeant	A nest of aliens, huh?
Tyler	You have to believe me! (groans)
Tyler has another vision, this time of him spying on three Highbreed looking at an image of the Arch.
Tyler	Ah! I don't understand it all myself but I got away. That proves something, right?
Sergeant	...Good news! The Highway Patrol has a special alien-proof room. Officers Molen and Liu are gonna take you there.
The two officers angrily grab Tyler.
Tyler	No! This is real! (struggles)
Sergeant	Relax, it's only until the alien-proof bus can come for you.
As Tyler is dragged away, another cop at his desk watches on, and picks up his phone.
Cop 1	He's here.
Tyler is put in a cell by Liu, who turns off the lights and leaves. Tyler sits on the bed.
Tyler	Details. My name is Tyler. I'm... I'm 26 years old. Maybe a little confused, but I'm not crazy. (yells) Somebody listen! There are aliens! I saw them! (scream)
The same vision of the three Highbreed, continued.
Highbreed	These humans are resilient.
Tyler wakes up.
Tyler	(gasps)
Cop 1	I said wake up! Ain't nothing to be afraid of, Tyler. We just need your statement.
The cop from earlier and another cop enter his cell.
Cop 2	Where'd you hide the key?
Tyler	Key?
Cop 1	Aww, don't play stupid, Tyler. (pulls out a DNAlien gun)
Cop 2	Nowhere to run, Tyler.
The cops pin Tyler to the wall, covering his mouth.
Cop 1	Make it easy on yourself and tell us where to find it.
Tyler's struggles knock off the first cop's ID Mask, revealing that he's actually a DNAlien.
Tyler	You're one of them!
The other cop follows suit, removing his ID Mask and revealing that he too is a DNAlien.
DNAlien 1	We don't have to harm you, Tyler.
DNAlien 2	Not at first.
Tyler grabs the cell's cot with superhuman strength to pin the DNAliens against the wall, before closing the cell behind him and running away. The DNAliens break free and follow him.
Outside the station, one of the DNAliens bursts out the door and looks around from the entrance. Tyler is hiding behind a cop car.
Tyler	(gasp)
Tyler turns around to see the other DNAlien spotting him. The DNAlien spits their slime-like resin at him, but narrowly misses and hits the car. The first DNAlien approaches from the other side of the car, forcing Tyler to run away. Running into the street, Tyler stops as Kevin's Car arrives and screeches to a halt. The passenger door opens.
Ben	Get in!
After dodging another slime spit, Tyler jumps in. The door closes and the car speeds off.
Tyler	Who are you?
Ben	I'm Ben, this is Gwen and Kevin.
Gwen	We're here to help you.
After a moment, Tyler grabs and pulls at Ben's face.
Ben	Ow! Why'd you do that?
Tyler	You'd never believe me.
Kevin	Think, Tennyson. Those DNAliens came out of the police station.
Ben	They must've had ID Masks.
Tyler	You know about the aliens?
Kevin	(reveals Plumber Badge) Been scanning for communications that mention any kind of tech above level two. Your name came up, Tyler.
Tyler	You know who I am?
Ben	Only that somebody back there made a call about you. Said you’ve got an Oscillator Key, whatever that is.
Kevin	Level 5 alien tech.
Ben	And finding aliens is kind of our specialty.
Gwen	Where'd you get your hands on alien technology?
Tyler	I-I don't know... Something messed up my memory.
Tyler produces a bass pick from his pocket.
Kevin	What's that, more alien tech?
Ben	It's a pick. A bass pick, to be exact.
Gwen	Are you a musician?
Tyler	That sounds right. But I don't have any clear memories.
Kevin	Well that helps. You stole a hyper-dimensional Oscillator Key from a Highbreed nest, and oh, you play the bass.
Ben	Lights off!
Kevin	Huh?
Ben	Do it!
From the windshield they see a search party of DNAliens searching the area with flashlights. Kevin turns off the headlights and drives by, the four watching the DNAliens search the cliff. The car runs over a rock, giving them away. The DNAliens leap over to the noise, only to find nothing there, the car being hidden behind a large rock. The DNAliens eventually give up and resume the search. Kevin starts the car again and drives off.
Ben	They're out in force. Something big is up.
Kevin	A hyper-dimensional Oscillator Key's about as big as it gets. It's for warping space.
Tyler	I had to steal it away. To stop the aliens.
Ben	From doing what?
Tyler	...It'll come to me.
Kevin	Helpful.
Gwen	You guys, we do have one advantage. They may need it but they don't know where it is.
Tyler	I do.
The four drive to the cliff where Tyler crashed the truck. Exiting the car, the four move down to the bottom of the cliff, Ben in front with a flashlight.
Tyler	I ditched it over here.
Ben's flashlight reveal the truck, banged up and tipped on its side.
Kevin	Nice job parking, slick.
Tyler	You can't see it from the road. Driving a truck isn't easy.
Ben casts a suspicious look at Tyler.
Gwen	Neither's keeping a piece of equipment this size from the aliens. I’m still wondering about that.
To Tyler's shock, Gwen uses Manna whips to rip the back door open. Ben and Gwen look to see a second door in the truck. Ben activates the Omnitrix and turns into Chromastone.
Chromastone	Chromastone!!
Tyler	What are you people?
Kevin	Get used to it.
Chromastone	Let me speed this up a bit.
Chromastone blasts a hole into the side of the truck. Chromastone leaps to the truck and rips the hole open bigger, before stepping in.
Chromastone	Now, let's have a look at this Oscillator Key.
Chromastone emits light from his hand to act as a flashlight on the Oscillator Key, only for a DNAlien to leap down, with several others emerging from the Key.
Chromastone	Aw man!

Act 2

Speaker	Dialogue
Outside the truck. Kevin, Gwen, and Tyler overhear DNAlien hissing. Kevin walks to and leans into the hole in the truck.
Kevin	Tennyson?
Kevin is shocked at what he sees. Chromastone bursts through the truck's side, crashes into the cliff face, and onto the ground. He quickly recovers.
Chromastone	DNAliens!
The swarm of DNAliens burst out of the truck.
DNAlien	Protect the key!
DNAliens	(hisses)
The DNAliens run at Chromastone, two of them pushing him into the cliff face, before restraining the silicon alien, and pelting him with their spit. The other DNAliens watch, only to be hit by Gwen's Manna attack. Gwen throws another Manna disc, only smacked into the truck by one of the DNAliens. Gwen recovers and runs offscreen to the crowd, just as two DNAliens surround Tyler. Kevin absorbs the truck's metal and knocks the two DNAliens together. Another DNAlien unleashes their tentacles and pulls Kevin away. Kevin breaks free, and as the trio fights the DNAliens, Tyler looks at the Oscillator Key. Kevin and Gwen are both restrained by DNAliens as a third approaches Gwen from behind.
DNAlien	(to Gwen) We're much stronger than you, human. Much, much stronger.
Gwen	(manifests Manna orbs; grunts) Yeah? Well, body odor isn't everything.
Gwen creates Manna whips that ensnare the DNAlien restraining her and the one behind her, throwing them away. More DNAliens run at Gwen, as Chromastone tosses aside the ones restraining him. A third DNAlien stands in front of him with a canister.
DNAlien	You're coming with us.
The DNAlien opens the canister, and a Xenocite jumps out of it and onto Chromastone. Meanwhile, Kevin is being restrained by more DNAliens as Tyler stares at the Oscillator Key.
Highbreed 1	(VO) Once the Oscillator Key completes the Jump Gate...
The three Highbreed from before are again looking at the screen depicting the Jump Gate.
Highbreed 1	How long will it take?
Highbreed 2	Perhaps a day, master. Perhaps longer. These humans are resilient.
Highbreed 1	They are degenerate filth. The Highbreed fleet will pour through and wipe this planet clean, as quickly as any other.
Los Soledad, the Jump Gate is still being constructed, an exposed part of the gate is missing a piece where the Oscillator Key would fit.
Tyler	...Got it.
Chromastone stands up, unbothered by the Xenocite around his head.
Chromastone	(coughs) Indestructible superdense silicon, guys.
Chromastone rips off the Xenocite.
Xenocite	(squeals)
Chromastone	Nice try, though.
Chromastone throws away the Xenocite and blasts the DNAliens surrounding him. Chromastone notices Kevin, restrained by several DNAliens who start to rip open his coating.
Kevin	(grunts)
Chromastone runs towards the DNAliens and blasts them away with his lasers. Chromastone leans down to Kevin.
Chromastone	You okay?
Kevin	(groans) No.
Kevin stands back up, and he, Chromastone, and Tyler turn to see Gwen readying her Manna at the last DNAlien.
Gwen	You're it, guy. Last monster standing.
DNAlien	Scum! There are countless others!
The DNAlien runs over to an armored truck and jumps into the driver's seat. He puts on an ID Mask before starting the truck. The other DNAliens start regaining consciousness and run over into the back of the armored truck. The truck drives off.
Chromastone	Let 'em go.
Gwen	Right. It's the big key we're after.
Chromastone reverts back to Ben and Kevin removes his coating.
Tyler	Ben! I got it! The aliens, not these, the other ones in charge.
Kevin	Highbreed. The big ones.
Tyler	Yeah! They're building a dimensional gateway in Los Soledad!
Ben	Where are they going?
Tyler	Not going. Coming. The whole Highbreed fleet's gonna invade and destroy the Earth!
Ben and Gwen stare at him.
Tyler	I remember!
Ben	Yeah, and I think I know why you remember.
Ben grabs Tyler's face, and pulls off an ID Mask, revealing the terrible truth.
Ben	You're a DNAlien.

Act 3

Speaker	Dialogue
Tyle rips a mirror off of the truck and sees his reflection in the broken mirror.
Tyler	A DNAlien? Me?
Ben	No way a regular guy could go through a wreck like that without being hurt.
Tyler	(crushes mirror) But I'm a regular guy!
Ben	They all are, at first. The Highbreed use us "lesser creatures" to do their dirty work.
Back with the three Highbreed.
Highbreed 1	They are degenerate filth.
A Xenocite crawls on the ground, but is stepped on by Kevin.
Kevin	They manufacture these Xenocite things, slap one on your face, and your humanity gets overwritten with DNAlien code.
Ben	And suddenly you're not you anymore. They took over a whole town that way. Los Soledad.
Gwen	We lost our Grandpa Max, and nearly lost my brother.
Ben	We were there a few weeks ago. We thought we'd destroyed whatever they were building. At least slowed them down.
The Jump Gate is being constructed.
Tyler	Not by much.
Ben	Somehow you got the big key away.
Tyler is standing by the truck, talking to another DNAlien.
DNAlien	You know your mission?
Tyler	Los Soledad. No stops.
The scene from the Prologue with Tyler signalling the car to let him pass.
The previous scene of the truck crashing.
Tyler	I was supposed to take it.
Gwen	I wondered how you got it away from them.
Tyler	But... I'm one of them.
Ben	No. You've been fighting the reprogramming, the whole time.
Gwen	Which means they're all fighting back. Some way you managed to reverse it on your own. That's what we have to do with those others.
Kevin	But first, we need to get the Oscillator Key out of here.
Ben	Yeah, (to Tyler) they'll be back with reinforcements. We could use your help.
Once again, the three Highbreed scene.
Highbreed 1	The Highbreed fleet will pour through and wipe this planet clean, as quickly as any other.
Tyler	Don't worry about me. I'm a monster. Save the rest of them.
Tyler leaps onto the truck. He proceeds to rip it open, exposing the Oscillator Key.
Gwen	Mr. Healthy Outlook.
With the Key exposed, Gwen uses her Manna whips to just barely lift the Oscillator Key off the ground.
Gwen	(grunts) You guys?
Ben activates the Omnitrix, and transforms into Humungousaur.
Humungousaur	Humungousaur!
Kevin, Tyler, and Gwen climb out of the cliffside. Gwen is wrapping the Oscillator Key in her Manna tendrils that Humungousaur is dragging the Key with as makeshift straps. The four of them walk to Kevin's Car.
Humungousaur	Drive alongside. I'll drag it.
Kevin	They glow's gonna attract attention.
Humungousaur	And a tuning fork the size of a building won't? The clock's running!
Gwen's Manna tendrils dissipate as the four notice a flying saucer swooping in. The saucer's underside opens up to reveal a swarm of DNAliens inside. A mirror inside the ship glows as a beam shoots out to the ground, moving towards them with the saucer. Humungousaur grows to giant size.
Humungousaur	(grunts) Head for cover!
Kevin	That's not a weapon, it's a tractor beam!
The four run away from the beam, Humungousaur carrying the Oscillator Key. They slide down the cliff, only for the saucer to angle the tractor beam towards them. Just in time, Gwen creates a Manna shield to block the beam..
Gwen	(grunts)
DNAliens leap down from the flying saucer armed with laser guns and fire at the four. After a moment of hesitation, Tyler runs at the DNAliens, dodging lasers and knocking them down with his goo spit. The DNAliens focus their guns on Tyler, only for Humungousaur to grab and shield him from the lasers, giving Tyler a disapproving look.
Tyler	Look, I'm finished either way.
Humungousaur	No. No sacrifices.
Gwen	(groans) Can't do this all night...
Humungousaur puts Tyler down behind Gwen's shield.
Humungousaur	(to Tyler) Keep them off Gwen.
Humungousaur turns into Jetray.
Jetray	Jetray!
Jetray soars into the air, circling the flying saucer. Meanwhile, Kevin absorbs the cliffside and coats himself in rock. The DNAliens onboard fire at Jetray, who evades the assault and fires his own neuroshock blasts from his eyes, destroying part of the ship. Jetray continues evading lasers as he fires directly on his attackers. On the ground, Kevin and Tyler repel the DNAliens by throwing boulders at them. Tyler notices a DNAlien climbing on top of the Oscillator Key and aiming at Gwen. Tyler fires a shot of goo at the gunman.
Gwen	(grunts)
Inside the saucer, running DNAliens are knocked on their feet by an explosion. Jetray pins one of the DNAliens to the ground.
Jetray	How do I shut off the tractor beam?
DNAlien	(growls)
More armed DNAliens run at Jetray from down the hallway. Jetray eyes glow as another neuroshock explosion blasts the DNAliens out the ship. On the ground, Kevin slams two DNAliens together as Tyler throws another one away. Said DNAlien tries to recover, but gets tackled and wrestled by Kevin. Tyler spits at more DNAliens but misses one and is restrained.
DNAlien	We are going to overwrite you, Tyler. And you won't remember ever defying us.
Tyler	No!
Gwen starts to lose her footing as the tractor beam starts to push her back.
Gwen	(grunts)
The Manna shield shatters, blasting Gwen away and knocking her out. Kevin pushes off the DNAlien on him only to see the DNAliens running into the tractor beam. Tyler is pushed into the beam by the DNAliens restraining him. The Oscillator Key and Gwen are also pulled by the tractor beam, but Kevin grabs Gwen's arm and pulls her out of the beam. Jetray sees Tyler and the Oscillator Key being pulled into the saucer.
Jetray	Tyler!
Kevin	Tennyson! Shoot the mirror!
Jetray looks up to the mirror projecting the tractor beam, and swoops through the beam grabbing Tyler. The flying saucer closes its bottom with the Oscillator Key inside. Jetray lands and looks on as the saucer flies off, the DNAliens having secured the Oscillator Key.
Jetray	There's got to be another way to win.
Kevin	What's wrong with you?!
Gwen	Really not sure about your choice, Ben.
Jetray	No sacrifices.
Jetray reverts back to Ben. Kevin likewise undoes his coating.
Kevin	No save the world.
Tyler	We lose twice. They’re going to finish that gateway and invade, and I’m this... thing. It’s over.
Ben	See? That's what you don't get.
Ben puts his left hand on Tyler's face. The Omnitrix starts blinking.
Tyler	What are you–?
The Omnitrix activates. After a flash of Tyler and the Xenocite, Tyler is human again.
Omnitrix	Genetic damage repaired.
The Xenocite possessing Tyler drops to the ground. Gwen gives Tyler a compact mirror.
Tyler	This is really me. And I can remember it all! I grew up in Evanston, and I was in glee club in high school...
Kevin	And you play the bass?
Tyler	I do.
Xenocite	(hisses)
Tyler stomps on the Xenocite.
Ben	It's never hopeless. We know what the Highbreed are doing, and where they're gonna do it. And who's gonna stop them.
Pan up to the night sky, one star shining brighter than the rest.
