| Gwen | (casting) Ortus. |
| A spellbook, the Archamada Book of Magic, levitates into Gwen's hands. Gwen hears the door open as Hex walks into the library. By the time Hex enters however, no one is there. | |
| Hex | Odd. I could swear I heard– |
| Charmcaster | (walks in) I told you, Uncle Hex, there's nothing here. It's late, go to bed. |
| Charmcaster leaves. Hex stares at the library, but closes the door. Gwen is hiding on the other side of the doorframe. She looks at the Archamada. | |
| Gwen | I am one Lucky Girl. |

| Day. Kevin knocks on the front door of Gwen's House with Ben behind him. No one responds. | |
| Kevin | We're gonna miss the kickoff. |
| Ben | The car's gone. I don't think anyone's home. |
| Kevin repeatedly rings the doorbell. | |
| Ben | You're gonna break it. |
| Kevin | No I'm not. |
| Kevin keeps ringing, and breaks it. The doorbell sparks and emits smoke. Ben gives him a look. Behind them, Gwen is approaching, wearing a trenchcoat over her Lucky Girl costume and holding the Archamada. | |
| Kevin | (defensively) It was already loose. We should go in. She'd want us to. |
| Gwen | What are you guys doing here? |
| Kevin | Nothin'. We definitely were not about to sneak in so we could watch the game on your dad's 60-inch TV. (Gwen unlocks the door, they enter) Also your doorbell was already broken when we got here. |
| Ben | No it wasn't. He broke it. |
| Gwen walks upstairs. | |
| Gwen | Y'know what? I don't really care. Go watch your game. I'll be right back. (resumes walking) |
| Kevin | Did you hear what she said? |
| Ben | That she doesn't care about the doorbell? |
| Kevin | It was code. What that meant was, she doesn't care about me. |
| Ben | (mocking) Aw, golly, Kev, that's just crazy talk. Gwen thinks you're swell! (love-taps Kevin's arm) |
| Kevin | (looking into a mirror) She doesn't even pretend to like me anymore. Anyway, who could blame her? |
| Kevin removes his ID Mask, revealing his Elemental Form. | |
| Kevin | I mean, look at me. |
| Kevin looks solemnly at himself. | |
| In Gwen's room, she draws chalk in a triangle, lights candles at the triangle's points, and levitates herself and the Archamada. | |
| Gwen | (casting) Ortus. Expositus. Quis quondam eram afflictus, iam vicis mos redintegro– |
| A flash of light interrupts Gwen's spell. | |
| Paradox | (offscreen) There's an old saying in my field. "Time travel is for immortals and fools. And I speak from experience." |
| Gwen | Professor Paradox? |
| Paradox | Hello Gwen. |
| Gwen | What are you doing here? |
| Paradox | (checks Chrononavigator) I'm about to warn you not to go through this plan of yours. See, I just did. Right on schedule. Now comes the part where you tell me... |
| Gwen | This spell can send me back in time. Back to when Ben and Kevin tried to hack the Omnitrix. |
| Paradox | (bored) Yes. And you think that if you can stop them, there won't be any explosion. And Kevin won't be transformed into a monster. (gleeful singing) And everything will be wonderful again! |
| Gwen | Yes! |
| Paradox | No. Generally, two out of three isn't bad. In this case however... Trust me, Gwendolyn. Don't do this. |
| Gwen | But I haven't been able to cure Kevin with my magic. It's the only way! |
| Paradox | There's always another way. In fact, sometimes, to do something, all you need to do is nothing. |
| Gwen | (teary-eyed) You're not making any sense! |
| Paradox | I'm often accused of that, but I'm the Time Walker, and I'm generally quite well-informed on these matters. |
| Gwen | I have to do this. |
| Paradox | I suppose you do. But mark my words, Gwen Tennyson, you are about to unleash forces that you can neither comprehend nor control. (cheerful) Toodle-oo! |
| Paradox chronoports away. Gwen resumes her spell. | |
| Gwen | (casting) Quis quondam eram afflictus... |
| The candles flames turn blue. | |
| Gwen | (casting) ...iam vicis mos redintegro... |
| Light starts emitting from the chalk lines. | |
| Gwen | (casting) ...quis venit pro, mos nusquam esse. |
| A Triangular Vortex manifests above Gwen. Gwen shoots into the vortex, closing it and dropping the Archamada. | |
| In Kevin's Storage Unit, back during the attempt to hack the Omnitrix. | |
| Ben | I'm pretty sure I know how to do this myself anyway. |
| Ben reactivates the Hacking Machine, continuing the operation. | |
| Gwen | Ben, that doesn't look right, turn it off. |
| On the computer panel, it signals the Omnitrix is overloading. | |
| Kevin | Never mind that, it's overloading! Dump the watch! |
| Ben | It'll take too long, run for it, both of you! |
| Kevin tries to pull the Omnitrix from the metal claws. | |
| Kevin | Maybe I can- |
| The Omnitrix overloads and it causes an explosion that destroys the storage unit... and then time rewinds to before the operation. Everyone is frozen but Gwen. | |
| Gwen | Huh? |
| Gwen rubs her eyes, then waves her hand in front of Kevin's face. Kevin doesn't move an inch. | |
| Gwen | Guys? What's happening? |
| Traveller Gwen | That's a little complicated. |
| Traveller Gwen approaches her past self. Past Gwen's hands glow with Manna orbs. | |
| Past Gwen | Who are you? |
| Traveller Gwen | Who do I look like? I'm you. I've just travelled back in time to give me–uh, you–important information. |
| Past Gwen | Prove it. |
| Traveller Gwen | Prove what? |
| Past Gwen | Prove that you're me. You could be an imposter, a-an evil twin! |
| Traveller Gwen | Ughh. We don't have time for this! |
| Past Gwen | Why not? (dispels Manna glow) I mean, if you really are a time traveler, you should have all the time in the world, right? |
| Traveller Gwen | Fine. What do you want me to do? |
| Past Gwen | Tell me something that only I know. |
| Traveller Gwen leans into Past Gwen's ear. | |
| Traveller Gwen | (whispering) |
| Past Gwen | Okay, fine, you're me. And by the way? Yuck! |
| Traveller Gwen | You have to admit, nobody knows that but us. |
| Past Gwen | Overkill. You could've just told me our locker number or something. |
| Traveller Gwen | We have to stop Ben and Kevin from hacking the Omnitrix. |
| Past Gwen | Are you sure? |
| Traveller Gwen | You will never forgive yourself if you let this happen. |
| Past Gwen | ...Okay. |
| Traveller Gwen leaves. Time resumes. | |
| Kevin | Let it go, Ben. |
| Past Gwen | It's too risky. |
| Ben | It's riskier not to, I figured out a lot about how the Omnitrix works, but if we can bypass the safeguards– |
| Past Gwen grabs Kevin with a Manna beam and throws him off the console. | |
| Kevin | Hey! |
| Past Gwen grabs Ben as well, and throws both of them onto the wall. | |
| Ben | Ow! |
| Past Gwen | I said it's too risky! Now promise me you aren't going to hack the Omnitrix. |
| Ben | What is wrong with you? |
| Past Gwen aims her other hand at the Hacking Machine and fires a beam of Manna into it, blowing it up. | |
| Kevin | Ahh, my stuff! |
| Past Gwen | Promise! |
| Ben | Okay, okay! I promise! |
| Kevin | Whatever. I was done with it anyway. |
| Past Gwen drops them. | |
| Kevin & Ben | (pained grunt) |
| Ben | You going to explain that? |
| Past Gwen | No. |
| Traveller Gwen watches from just outside. | |
| Traveller Gwen | Good girl. |
| Another Triangular Vortex opens above Traveller Gwen, who again zips into it. | |
| In the new timeline, Gwen opens her eyes. Looking around, she sees that the Archamada is gone. All the lights are out as Gwen leaves her house. Outside, Gwen is horrified to see the neighborhood has been destroyed and the skies have turned red. Hex's voice is broadcasted by a passing vehicle. | |
| Hex | Attention, citizens. Surrender. Continued resistance will only result in further suffering. Attention, citizens. Surrender. Continued resistance... (trails off) |
| The ruins of a house crumble to reveal two Rock Monsters. | |
| Gwen | Charmcaster's monsters. What's she doing? |
| The Rock Monsters notice Gwen and shamble towards her. | |
| Rock Monsters | (growls) |
Act 2
| Speaker | Dialogue |

| Gwen | (arms glow with Manna) Back off. I mean it! Don't come any closer or– |
| One of the Rock Monsters swings at Gwen and hits the house as Gwen dodges. | |
| Rock Monster | (roars) |
| Gwen | Hey! That's my house! |
| Gwen grabs the Rock Monster with her Manna and throws it at the other Rock Monster, knocking them both down. Gwen turns to see three more Rock Monsters marching towards her. Gwen runs away, turning into an alleyway as the Rock Monsters walk past her. Gwen backs up into something. She turns to see another Rock Monster. | |
| Rock Monster | (roars) |
| Outside the alley, a flash of pink light draws the Rock Monsters attention to the alleyway. Entering the alley, they see the Alley Rock Monster has a smoking stump where its head was. The headless Rock Monster falls over and crumbles. The other Rock Monsters turn and leave, not noticing Gwen directly above them on a Manna platform. | |
| Gwen walks down a highway full of abandoned cars with smoking buildings in the distance. Walking alongside a truck, a Rock Monster walks in from the front. Gwen is shocked. The Rock Monster turns to where Gwen is, only to find nothing there. The Rock Monster walks down the highway, missing Gwen as she crawls back from under the truck. Gwen gets up and slowly backs away. | |
| At Mr. Smoothy, Gwen is calling Ben, but no one is answering. | |
| Gwen | Where are you, Ben? |
| Noticing something, Gwen backs to the wall as Rock Monsters push a line of captives, hands behind their heads, along the parking lot. Gwen blasts the Rock Monsters away with her Manna. After staring at Gwen, the captives run away. | |
| Captives | (screams) |
| At Kevin's Garage, Gwen sees Kevin's Car is wrecked. | |
| Kevin | Oh, Kevin. Not you too. |
| A shadow looms over Gwen as another Rock Monster appears and attacks Gwen, who quickly blocks with a Manna shield. Gwen grabs the Rock Monster with Manna and throws it away, causing it to smash upon hitting the ground. Gwen sees an army of Rock Monsters marching at her. | |
| Rock Monsters | (roars) |
| Gwen | Too many... I can't... I... |
| Gwen runs away. | |
| Downtown Bellwood. Posters of Hex saying "SUBMIT" and "HEX" cover the buildings. Hex's intercom repeats his demands to surrender as a Rock Monster chases terrified citizens down the streets. | |
| Citizen | (screams) |
| Gwen hides behind a car until the monster leaves. She runs across the street and hides behind a wall as more Rock Monsters march on. | |
| Paradox | (behind her) Been quite a day, hasn't it? |
| Gwen | Ah! Would you stop doing that? |
| Paradox | Oh? Very well. (turns to leave; in tune) Off I gooo. |
| Gwen | No! (grabs Paradox's arm) Please, don't go anywhere! |
| Paradox | Actually, in my case, it's less of a where then it is a when. |
| Gwen | You know what happened here? |
| Paradox | You happened. When you went back in time and kept Kevin from mutating. |
| Gwen | But that was the plan. |
| Paradox | And every plan has unintended consequences. For instance... |
| Two captives are pushed away by a Rock Monster. One runs away while the other is held up by the leg. | |
| Paradox | ...Hex and Charmcaster tried to take over the world, as is their want. |
| Captive | Let me go! |
| Gwen looks away. | |
| Paradox | You, Ben, and Kevin swung into action. You were humanity's last line of defense. Only, there was a weak link. |
| Gwen | Me? |
| Paradox | Oh no, my dear. Not you. Kevin. Because you went into the past and prevented that explosion, you kept him from mutating. Ergo, the new Kevin, or rather, the old Kevin, lacked the powers that would have allowed him to stop Hex. And so, the bad guys won. |
| Gwen | I didn't know... |
| Paradox | I warned you that time travel was for immortals and fools. I'm the only immortal hearabouts. You do the math. |
| Gwen | Where are Ben and Kevin? |
| Just outside of Hex's Sanctum, Gwen and Paradox chronoport onto a tree. | |
| Gwen | Huh? |
| Gwen looks down to see a Rock Monster patrolling the area. | |
| Paradox | Careful. Gravity is not your friend. |
| Gwen and Paradox look on to see Kevin, now mutated into a Rock Monster carrying a boulder from a pile. | |
| Gwen | Kevin... |
| Kevin puts the boulder onto another pile, in front of Charmcaster and a Rock Monster. | |
| Gwen | What did she do to him? |
| Paradox | It amused her to bind him with the same spells she uses to control her rock creatures. |
| Kevin puts another boulder onto the pile. The boulder rolls onto the ground. | |
| Charmcaster | Oh, clumsy, clumsy, Kevin. (chuckles) |
| Charmcaster shoots magic darts at Kevin. | |
| Kevin | Ugh! Ugh! |
| Gwen | I'll save you, Kevin. I promise. |
| Paradox | That's the sort of thing that got you into trouble in the first place. |
| Gwen | And Ben? |
| Paradox | He fought bravely, but eventually they caught him, too. Pity. After you died, he was the planet's last hope. |
| Gwen | No! Dead?! Me?! |
| Paradox | Yes. Dead. You! ...Why are we talking this way? |
| Gwen | I'm not dead. I'm right here. |
| Paradox | Yes... That's one of the odd things about time travel. |
| Gwen | I have to change everything back. Make it the way it was. |
| Paradox | I suppose it won't do any harm to try. However, stealing the Book of Spells won't be quite so easy this time around. What with all those Rock Monsters, Hex and Charmcaster's heightened powers... |
| Paradox looks to see that Gwen is already gone. Gwen runs atop Manna platforms above Hex's keep. | |
| Paradox | Ah, youth. They never listen. |
| Gwen keeps running atop Manna platforms and up the keep. She is blasted to the lower roof by a blast of magic. Charmcaster floats into view. | |
| Charmcaster | Gwen Tennyson? No. Way. |
| Gwen | (grunts; gets up) Why so surprised? |
| Charmcaster | 'Cause I killed you once. And now... (charges magic) I'm gonna do it again. |
| Charmcaster fires a beam of magic at Gwen. | |
Act 3
| Speaker | Dialogue |

| Charmcaster fires a beam of magic at Gwen, who blocks with a Manna shield, causing an explosion. The smoke clears to reveal Gwen unharmed and throwing Manna discs at Charmcaster, who dodges. | |
| Charmcaster | (gasp) |
| Charmcaster turns to where the disc went, but is hit by another from behind, falling onto the roof. Gwen turns and walks away. Gwen turns back to see Charmcaster getting back up. | |
| Gwen | Killing me is not cool. |
| Gwen blasts Charmcaster with Manna, knocking her out. | |
| Charmcaster | (grunt) |
| Gwen turns and resumes walking. | |
| Inside the sanctum, Gwen rides a Manna platform and opens the library window with Manna. Gwen jumps down into the dark room and starts searching through the bookself. | |
| Hex (VO) | May I help you find something? |
| Gwen turns to a chair across the room. The chair turns around to reveal Hex. | |
| Hex | Sorry. (reveals Archamada) It's the one book I don't lend out. |
| Gwen | You aren't surprised to see me. |
| Hex | To the contrary. I've been waiting for you to show up. After all, you're the time-lost Gwen. The last link to a less appealing past. |
| Gwen | How do you know all that? |
| Hex | Magic my dear. I love this new world your meddling created. I'm not letting you change it back. |
| Gwen charges her hands with Manna. A pink beam of magic bursts through the widow as Charmcaster flies in and lands between them. | |
| Charmcaster | Are you two done talking yet? 'Cause I'm totally gonna kill her again. |
| Hex | You must learn patience, my dear niece. |
| Charmcaster | But not right away. First, I'm gonna kill– |
| Gwen kicks Charmcaster to the floor. | |
| Gwen | You need to stop saying that. |
| Charmcaster | (gets up; grunts) If you think I'm going to fight you, you're dumber than you look. |
| The ground shakes as Kevin bursts through the door and crashes into the bookshelf. Kevin rushes and swings at Gwen, who evades. Kevin slowly walks to Gwen as she backs up. | |
| Gwen | Kevin, you don't have to do this. Remember who you are. Remember me! |
| Kevin stops and looks at her, seemingly getting through to him... but then reverts back. | |
| Kevin | (grunting) |
| Kevin picks up a pillar and throws it at Gwen, who blocks it with a Manna shield. Gwen blasts Kevin with Manna, knocking him into the bookshelf and knocking him out. | |
| Gwen | Why do I bother trying? It never works. |
| Gwen cuts a hole in the floor around her with Manna, falling down. | |
| Hex | You little fool! |
| Charmcaster | Oh, sure, like you knew that was coming. |
| Gwen crashes through several floors, eventually crashing into the basement. | |
| Gwen | (groans) |
| Gwen looks around, noticing that she's in a dungeon. She spots Spidermonkey chained by the arms. | |
| Gwen | Ben?! |
| Gwen runs to Spidermonkey, who wakes up. | |
| Spidermonkey | (groans) |
| Gwen blasts the chains off with her Manna. Spidermonkey falls, and Gwen tends to Spidermonkey, who reverts back to Ben. | |
| Ben | Gwen? But I saw Charmcaster, you were fighting here, are she– |
| Gwen | I know, Ben. It's all my fault. |
| Ben | I don't understand. |
| Gwen | The Omnitrix. When it blew up... Only, it didn't, but it should have, and it would have, if only I hadn't tried to fix everything! |
| Ben | Um, I know I'm kinda messed up, but you're not making any sense. |
| Gwen helps Ben onto his feet. | |
| Gwen | I'll explain when I get you outta here. |
| The door out is broken down by a Rock Monster and Kevin, with Charmcaster in between them. | |
| Charmcaster | Oh, sure. Like that's going to happen. |
| Ben | You handle the Rock Monsters. I'll handle Charmcaster. (pained grunt) |
| Gwen | No., Ben, you're hurt. |
| Ben | I already lost you once. Not gonna let that happen again. |
| The Rock Monster and Kevin run at them. Ben activate the Omnitrix and transforms into Swampfire. | |
| Swampfire | Swampfire! |
| Swampfire throws his flamethrower. Kevin and the Rock Monster run out of the way, leaving Charmcaster in the flame's way as she charges her magic. | |
| Charmcaster | Tempestas! |
| A wall of water rises from the ground, extinguishing the flame and creating a fog. Charmcaster then redirects the water to clash with Swampfire's flamethrower. Swampfire turns up the heat, overpowering the water jet and knocking Charmcaster off her feet. | |
| Charmcaster | Aah! |
| Rock Monster (VO) | (roars) |
| The Rock Monster runs in through the fog and swings at Swampfire, who sidesteps the attack. Swampfire counters and knocks it away before following. Kevin walks in and swings at Gwen, who blocks with a Manna shield that cracks on impact. | |
| Gwen | (groans) Kevin, no! |
| Kevin punches the shield, shattering it. Kevin prepares another strike, but Gwen blasts him away. Gwen turns to see Hex floating down from the hole she made in the ceiling. | |
| Hex | It's time to right the last chapter in this sad little saga! |
| Swampfire | Thanks anyway, Hex... |
| Out from the fog emerges a falling over Rock Monster, and Swampfire. | |
| Swampfire | But I'm not much of a reader! |
| Swampfire throws a fireball at the ceiling. It collapses, pummeling Hex in rubble and seemingly knocking him out. Gwen grabs the Archamada with her Manna. | |
| Swampfire | Let's get out of here before they have a chance to– |
| Suddenly, the Omnitrix sparks. Swampfire falls to his knees and reverts back to Ben. | |
| Ben | (groan) |
| Behind them, the Rock Monster gets back up, as does Hex. Charmcaster emerges from the fog, recovered. | |
| Gwen | Hold them off, Ben. I need time to cast a spell. |
| Ben | And that'll fix everything? |
| Gwen gets teary eyed. | |
| Ben | Do what you can. I trust you. |
| The two get up. As the sorcerers and Rock Monsters surround them, Gwen runs off. Ben activates the Omnitrix and transforms. | |
| Gwen is running down a dark corridor. | |
| Gwen | (casting) Quis quondam eram afflictus. Iam vicis mos redintegro; quis venit pro– |
| Hex bursts through the wall. | |
| Hex | Stop! |
| Gwen | (casting) ...Mos nusquam esse. |
| Hex fires a bolt of magic at Gwen. The Triangular Vortex opens and takes Gwen just before the magic bolt can hit. Hex is shocked and angry. | |
| Again in the past, at Kevin's Garage. | |
| Past Gwen | Are you sure? |
| Traveller Gwen | You will never forgive yourself if you let this happen. |
| Third Gwen | Don't listen to her! I'm from her future, and she doesn't know what she's talking about! |
| Traveller Gwen | Oh, come on! How do I know you're not an imposter? |
| Third Gwen | (sighs) The lock on our locker is broken. We just leave it hanging there so it looks closed. |
| Traveller Gwen | Alright. You're me. But I still think we should save Kevin. |
| Past Gwen | You guys need to make up our mind. |
| Third Gwen | Already done. (to Traveller Gwen) Paradox was right. We have to let it happen the way it did the first time. |
| Traveller Gwen | We can't keep Kevin from mutating. |
| Third Gwen | No. We can't. |
| Third Gwen's hand glows with Manna as she touches Past Gwen's head. | |
| Third Gwen | And just to make sure she doesn't try, I'm gonna make her forget everything that happened. |
| Third Gwen pulls her hand away and arranges Past Gwen just as she was before the time-freeze. She and Traveller Gwen leave. | |
| Third Gwen | C'mon. We don't belong here. |
| Time resumes. | |
| Past Gwen | Ben? That doesn't look right. Turn it off. |
| On the computer panel, it signals the Omnitrix is overloading. | |

| Gwen | I was working on a project. I... lost track of time. |
| Kevin | (poking in) Want to go to Mr. Smoothy? It's Ben's treat. |
| Gwen hugs Kevin. | |
| Kevin | What was that for? |
| Gwen | I... don't know. |
| Gwen walks out. Ben and Kevin look at each other, shrug, and follow her out. | |
| Outside Gwen's house, the trio see Paradox leaning on Kevin's Car. | |
| Paradox | Hello, young persons. |
| Ben | Paradox?! What are you doing here? |
| Gwen | Is something wrong? |
| Paradox | ...No. Everything's fine. |
| Paradox chronoports away. | |
