Prologue
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| The episode begins in an alien spaceship. The unseen figure steps out from inside a metallic pod and glances at two larger ones. The figure exits into the underground cavern, where the DNAliens are in an excavation project. The figure ducks into a hiding place and observes them now gathering towards their drilling machine. | |
| DNAlien #2 | It is not one of our ships, sir. The workers found it buried here. |
| DNAlien #1 | The excavation project must proceed. The Highbreed have so ordered: Nothing will stand in our way. |
| DNAlien #2 | As you say, sir. |
| The DNAliens turn their attention from mining the crystal quartz to excavating the buried spacecraft. The figure walks in front of a mirrored surface on a piece of machinery, revealing that it is actually a hideous-looking monster. | |

|---|---|
| In the cavern, DNAlien #1 assembles a new team. | |
| DNAlien #1 | You, you and you. Get some heavier equipment down into the mine. Go. Now! |
| Several DNAliens use various power tools to try to chip at the hull of the spaceship, but they didn't make a dent. The monster's hand reaches out from a hiding place towards a power coupling and grabs it. As the DNAliens continue to work, the lights dim and their power tools cuts off. | |
| DNAlien #1 | The power coupling's gone bad. |
| DNAlien #2 | No, sir. The coupling's missing! |
| Holding the power coupling, the monster emerges onto the surface of the Earth. It looks around, notices the lights on the town and lumbers towards them. | |
| On the road at night, the headlights of an on-coming car towing an open trailer hitch illuminate the monster. The car swerves safely to a stop, perpendicular to the road. | |
| Driver | Come on! Let's go! Now, now! |
| As the car rights itself to get away, the monster quickly wrenches the trailer hitch free. It dumps the stuff out of the trailer and puts the power coupling in. The monster heads down the road. | |
| At the intersection, the monster - now carrying a stop sign, a tricycle, miscellaneous wires, and a shopping cart in his wagon -stands under the traffic light dangling above. It curiously paws up at the light, causing it to swing. The monster snaps off the traffic light, which goes dark. It frowns, then throws it on the ground and stomps on it. | |
| On a desert road, Ben and Kevin are driving down the street, following Gwen, who hovers in the lotus position ahead of them. Gwen is using a broken piece of the traffic light to track down the monster. | |
| Gwen | I'm definitely getting something. The manna trail is getting stronger and stronger. |
| Kevin | You said that two hours ago, Gwen. |
| Gwen | (offscreen) Trying to concentrate, Kevin. |
| Ben | (to Kevin) Let her work. |
| Kevin | (to Ben) For what? It's a wild goose chase. |
| Ben | I don't think so. All these reports of a monster wandering around here wrecking stuff? |
| Kevin | (offscreen) Doesn't mean it's the DNAliens, Ben. It could be a bear that escaped from the zoo. |
| Gwen | No reports of missing animals from any zoo in the entire state. |
| Ben | (to Kevin) It must be a DNAlien. What else is strong enough to tear down a traffic light? |
| Kevin | And DNAliens are mad at a traffic light, why? |
| Ben | I dunno, but-- |
| Gwen | (offscreen) Hold up, guys. (onscreen) Got something for sure. It's close. Over there! |
| In the desert, the monster is fascinated by a cactus and grabs it but withdraws its hand as the needles from it hurt. It grabs the cactus again and eats it. The monster begins to pick up his toys. | |
| Ben | (offscreen) Drop it! |
| The monster throws the power coupling at Ben and Kevin. | |
| Kevin | To be fair, you did tell him to drop it. |
| The monster picks up the power coupling. | |
| Ben | He's not very DNAlieny, is he? |
| Kevin | That looks like Highbreed tech, though, so he's maybe working for them. |
| Ben | What's he trying to build with all that stuff? |
| The creature takes a swipe at Ben using the power coupling like a mace. Ben tucks and rolls out of the way. | |
| Ben | We don't want to hurt you. Drop the weapon and give yourself up. |
| Kevin | (absorbs the stone) You don't have to read him his rights first, Tennyson. Just take him out! |
| Kevin leaps fists first at the monster, which staggers. It swats Kevin away. Ben activates the Omnitrix and transforms into Humungousaur. | |
| Humungousaur | Humungousaur! |
| The monster rushes at Humungousaur and grasps him in a bearhug. | |
| Kevin | Aw, I think he luvs you. |
| Humungousaur | (grunting in pain) So not funny. |
| Humungousaur bursts free from the bearhug and punches the monster. The monster is on its butt and cries in frustration. | |
| Humungousaur | Aw, come on! I didn't hit you that hard! |
| The monster stops crying, distracted by a glint in the sand. He picks up a piece of quartz. | |
| Kevin | He's going for a weapon! |
| The monster looks at the quartz. | |
| Humungousaur | Don't have much of an attention span, do you? |
| Humungousaur clips the rock out of the monster's hands. Incensed, it shoves Humungousaur. Kevin punches the monster near the road. | |
| Humungousaur | He's getting away! |
| Humungousaur charges at the monster, which rips the metal guard rails out of the ground and wraps it around him. Humungousaur struggles, then grows, destroying the guard rail. The monster looks at the now-bigger Humungousaur and runs away. Energy plates hail down from above and blocks the monster's path. | |
| Gwen | Leave you guys alone for five minutes... |
| The monster tries to run away in a different direction, but Gwen fires more energy planes, blocking its path again. Gwen lowers herself to the ground, while Humungousaur and Kevin approach it. The monster sees Gwen as an angelic glowing silhouette of energy. | |
| Kevin | Is that monster for "I give up?" |
| Humungousaur | Do I look like I speak monsterese? (sees Kevin's incredulous look) Oh, right. |
| Gwen | It's calming down. I think the fight's over. |
| The monster reaches out and picks up Gwen. | |
| Kevin | Gwen! |
Act 2
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| The monster holds Gwen aloft. | |
| Kevin | Put her down! |
| Humungousaur steps in and easily hold Kevin back. | |
| Humungousaur | Don't move! It'll squoosh her. |
| Gwen | I don't want to be squooshed! |
| Kevin | We gotta do something! |
| The monster ignores them, completely mesmerized by Gwen. | |
| Gwen | Put me down! Now! |
| The monster is taken aback, but obeys as it lowers Gwen to the ground. | |
| Gwen | Thank you. |
| Kevin and Humungousaur rush in to attack it. | |
| Kevin | You hit him high, I'll hit him low! |
| Gwen quickly fires an energy plate in front of them, blocking their advance. | |
| Gwen | Don't hurt it! |
| Kevin | Why not? |
| Gwen | I think it's a baby! |
| Kevin | He squooshed you pretty hard, Gwen. |
| The monster is teething. | |
| Humungousaur | No, she's right. |
| Humungousaur transforms into Ben. | |
| Ben | All that random stuff it stole around town? It's not building anything with it after all. |
| Gwen | She thinks they're toys. Look. |
| The monster has the power coupling spinning on its end like a top. Kevin reverts back to normal. | |
| Ben | What makes you think it's a girl? |
| Kevin | Yeah. If it was a girl, it'd have a big bow on its head or something. |
| Gwen | (sighs) You didn't pay much attention in health class, did you? |
| The monster copies Gwen. | |
| Ben | Listen, we really can't be wasting time babysitting this thing. |
| Gwen | But she needs our help, guys. We can't just leave her wandering around the desert. |
| Kevin | Needs our help? |
| The monster is stacking giant boulders like blocks. | |
| Ben | Come on, Gwen, focus. (offscreen) We're on a mission of intergalactic proportions. (onscreen) This creature has nothing to do with that. |
| A squad of DNAliens rounds the corner. | |
| DNAlien #1 | There's the creature! (offscreen) And there's the power coupling! |
| DNAlien #2 | Should have known it would be working with you, Ben Tennyson. |
| Ben | Me? What? |
| DNAlien #1 shoot out resin from its mouth. Gwen quickly fires an energy shield in front of Ben to block the attack. The monster helps Gwen by picking up DNAlien #1 and throws it. | |
| Ben | Uh, thanks. |
| DNAlien #2 shoots out resin at the monster, ensnaring it. Gwen fires an energy blast and sets the monster free. Kevin grabs the power coupling. | |
| Kevin | Looking for this? |
| The four DNAliens and the monster look at Kevin. | |
| Kevin | Whoops. |
| Gwen fires a barrage of energy at the wall of DNAliens closing in on Kevin. Kevin tosses the power coupling to Gwen. | |
| Kevin | Keep away! |
| The four DNAliens and the monster now turn towards Gwen. | |
| Gwen | (to Ben) Ben! Heads up! |
| Gwen tosses the power coupling to Ben. The DNAliens and the monster now turn towards him. | |
| Ben | Better split up. |
| Ben whips out the Omnitrix and transforms into Echo Echo. | |
| Echo Echo | Echo Echo! |
| Echo Echo multiples into four and takes off in four directions. One has the power coupling. | |
| DNAlien #2 | Retrieve the power coupling. We'll deal with the thief later! |
| They all follow the Echo Echo that has the power coupling. The three Echo Echoes follow and sonic blast three of the DNAliens. Nearby, the last DNAlien catches up with the Echo Echo holding the power coupling. | |
| DNAlien #3 | Ah ha! |
| Echo Echo | Uh. Oh. |
| The DNAlien reaches for Echo Echo, but the sonic beams strike him from behind. It pitches forward unconscious, revealing the other three Echo Echoes. | |
| Echo Echo | Thanks, guys. |
| Echo Echo | No problem. |
| Kevin | Dude, you're talking to yourselves again. |
| The Echo Echoes transforms back into Ben. The monster reaches for the power coupling. | |
| Ben | Okay. |
| Ben gives it the power coupling. The monster shakes it like a rattle. | |
| Kevin | We got trouble. If the DNAliens need that power coupling, they'll be back in force. |
| The monster starts teething with the power coupling. | |
| Ben | Not to mention I've got no idea what we should do about that. |
| Gwen | (corrects Ben) Her. |
| Ben | Whatever! |
| Gwen | Well, do you want to keep standing around here arguing about it or help me hide her? |
| Ben | I'd like to keep standing around. |
| Kevin | I'd like to keep arguing about it. (sees Gwen glaring) If you don't want to know, don't ask. |
| In Kevin's garage, Ben, Kevin and Gwen are bleary-eyed with exhaustion, sit collapsed on the floor. The garage is a disaster area. | |
| Kevin | Your turn, Gwen. |
| Gwen | It's always your turn. |
| Kevin | You're the one who wanted to help it. |
| Ben & Gwen | Her. |
| Kevin | Do I look like I care? |
| Gwen crosses to where the monster is. It is holding up the front end of Kevin's car and is chewing on it. | |
| Kevin | What are you doing?! |
| Gwen | Don't put that in your mouth! You don't know where it's been. |
| There is already a big bite taken out of the hood. Kevin runs off, livid. | |
| Kevin | That's it! Out! |
| Gwen | She's just a baby! She didn't know! |
| Ben | Gwen, much as I hate siding with Kevin, Tiny has to go back where she came from. |
| Kevin | (to Ben) You weren't planning on keeping her, were you? |
| Ben | Doesn't matter. We're stuck with her until nightfall, anyway. |
| Kevin | What?! No! Get her out of here while I still have some car left! |
| Ben | If we take her outside during the day, she's a big ol' moving target for the DNAliens and everybody else in town. |
| Gwen | I don't think she can't see so well in the sunlight anyway. |
| Tiny bumps into a wall. | |
| Ben | Hmm. That would explain why it only rampaged at night. |
| Kevin | (corrects Ben) She. |
| Gwen | All right, tonight we'll get Tiny to lead us to wherever she came from. |
| Ben | She will really be safer there. |
| Gwen | Yeah. |
| The trio watches as Tiny wanders off. | |
| Kevin | Come on! |
| Gwen | I'll get you a new one? |
| Outside, Ben and Kevin follow Gwen. Tiny attacks the DNAliens with the power coupling and points at something. | |
| Gwen | This way. |
| Tiny leads the team into the underground crystal quartz cavern crawling with DNAliens. | |
| Gwen | (whispers) Look. |
| They see a now fully excavated spaceship. | |
| Kevin | (whispers) It's homey. (to Tiny) Okay, guess this is good-bye then. Have a nice life. |
| Tiny is confused. | |
| Kevin | Worth a shot. |
| Gwen, Ben, Kevin and Tiny sneak towards the ship. Tiny leads them to the hidden opening of the ship she had used earlier. Tiny goes through it. Ben starts to follow next with the Omnitrix at the ready, but Gwen stops him. | |
| Gwen | Stay out here and guard the door. I'm going in. |
| Kevin | (whispers) Be careful. |
| Gwen goes inside the spaceship and sees two unopened stasis pods besides another one that's broken open. Piled haphazardly at the foot of the two sealed pods are a familiar stop sign, a tricycle, miscellaneous wires, a shopping cart and a tricolored traffic light. Tiny paws gently at the two pods. Gwen inspects the empty one. | |
| Gwen | Your parents! I bet your parents are still inside their pods! |
| The ship suddenly jolts under Tiny and Gwen's feet. | |
| Gwen | Whoa! |
| The DNAliens have finally freed the ship from the earth. They scurry to warm up a large ray gun. | |
| DNAlien #1 | On my mark. (offscreen) Ready, aim... |
| Ben and Kevin react horrified. | |
| Kevin | Gwen! |
Act 3
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| The DNAliens' blast ray is about to hit the spaceship with Gwen and Tiny inside. Ben whips out the Omnitrix and transforms into Chromastone. | |
| Chromastone | Chromastone! |
| Chromastone leaps into the ray gun's path of fire and absorbs the blast. Hordes of DNAliens come out of every crevice of the cavern and converge on Chromastone. Chromastone finishes absorbing the blast and fires smaller ray blasts at the DNAliens. Plenty more of them keep coming. Kevin put his hand on the hull of the spaceship and absorbs the metal and fights his way through the on-coming tide of DNAliens as Chromastone's blast rays takes out even more of them. | |
| Chromastone | What are they all doing down here? |
| Kevin | You mean besides trying to clean our clocks? |
| The main door of the spaceship opens and Tiny looms in the doorway. | |
| DNAlien #1 | Fire! |
| The DNAliens shoot the monster. | |
| Gwen | No! |
| Chromastone leaps onto the path of the beam and absorbs the rest of its power. | |
| Chromastone | Leave the kid alone! |
| Chromastone shoots the absorbed energy back at the ray gun, destroying it and taking out the DNAliens around it. Gwen steps out from behind and attack the DNAliens. | |
| Kevin | Wow. |
| Chromastone | Something to think about next time you get into an argument with her. |
| Inside the spaceship, Kevin is finishing rigging the controls of the stasis pods. Chromastone and Gwen look through the pile of stolen junk. | |
| Chromastone | What do you think she was trying to do with all this junk? |
| Gwen | When she woke up and her parents weren't around, she toddled outside and brought back stuff that looked like they could help. |
| Chromastone | Like us. |
| Kevin | Think I've got the stasis pods' control panel working. |
| Gwen | Good. Wake them up. |
| Kevin activates a control and the pods simultaneously slowly slide open. The two pods reveal two scary-looking creatures looking similar to Tiny, but twice as big. They rush out of their pods towards the trio, but they continue past them to embrace their baby. | |
| Kevin | Huh. |
| Meanwhile, Ben, Kevin and Gwen converse with the mom and dad while Tiny tries to show them her rattle. | |
| Alien Dad | What do you mean this isn't Alpha Proxima? |
| Alien Mom | And it's not 1952? (to Tiny) Yes, dear. I see you. |
| Ben | It's the 21st century. |
| Kevin | You're on the earth. |
| Gwen | In the earth, actually. |
| Ben | What are you doing underground? |
| Alien Mom | No idea. |
| Alien Dad | We were traveling to the other side of your galaxy to colonize, in suspended animation for the journey. |
| Alien Mom | But some kind of temporal occlusion occurred while we were flying by the Earth that must have caused us to crash land here. |
| Ben | In 1952. |
| Gwen | You think? |
| Ben | There was a time travel experiment here that year. It must've affected your ship's engine. |
| Kevin | And when you crashed, your ship dug a hole in the ground. |
| Gwen | That filled in and grew over after all this time. |
| Alien Dad | We've been asleep underground for half a century? |
| Ben | The DNAliens weren't digging for your ship. They just happened to find you down here. |
| Kevin | Lucky for you. |
| Alien Dad | I can't imagine what anyone would need this much crystal quartz for. Maybe a teleporter grid? |
| Tiny sees Gwen as a glowing silhouette of energy. | |
| Alien Mom | No, honey, you can't keep her. |
| Alien Dad | Earthlings need to roam free. |
| Tiny is disappointed. | |
| Kevin | What I can't figure out is why the translation circuits in our badges and Ben's watch didn't work on Tiny, but I understand you two just fine. |
| Alien Mom | Our daughter can't talk yet, she's just a baby. |
| Gwen | Told you. |
| Tiny shakes her power coupling rattle one last time and hands it to Gwen. | |
| Gwen | That's okay, Tiny. You keep it. |
| At the mine entrance, the ground explodes as the alien ship blasts through the surface and up into the sky. | |
| Tiny | Gwen. Gwen. |
| Alien Mom | (offscreen) Aw, baby's first word. |
| Alien Dad | I wonder what it means. |
