| Inside a prison in the Null Void, one of the cell doors explodes, causing alarms to start blaring. Out of the smoke cloud steps a gray-skinned alien with a black jumpsuit and a three star hole in his head. Three Robot Guards run at the prisoner, armed with guns. | |
| Robot Guard | Halt. Return to your cell. Halt. Return to your cell. Halt. Return to your cell. Halt. Return to your cell– |
| The prisoner shoots lasers from his hands, destroying the guards. The prisoner blasts a hole through the wall and jumps down to the courtyard, more sirens blaring. More Robot Guards fire turrets at the fleeing prisoner from the outside towers, but the prisoner blasts them as well. Reaching the outer wall, the prisoner boosts himself atop it with his laser hands. He sees a wormhole surrounded by Null Guardians across a series of asteroids. The prisoner leaps from asteroid to asteroid, attracting the Null Guardians' attention. | |
| Null Guardians | (screeches) |
| The Null Guardians fly at the prisoner, who evades as he continues maneuvering across the asteroids. The Null Guardians shoot lasers from their mouths, destroying the asteroid just as the prisoner jumps off it and onto a Null Guardian. He immediately leaps off, blasting the Null Guardian behind him, and leaps through the wormhole, just barely dodging another Null Guardian's chomp. The Null Guardians look at the wormhole. | |

| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| On a docked freighter at night, a Forever Knight bursts through the hatch on the floor. He tries to get up, but fails. Inside the freighter, another Forever Knight is beaten and thrown at a group of Forever Knights by Rath. The Forever Knights crash into a crate. | |
| Rath | You tin cans wanna tangle with Rath?! C'mon! Let's do it! There's enough of me for the lot of ya! |
| Forever Knight | Wait. (turns to his compatriots) New plan. |
| The Forever Knight runs away. | |
| Forever Knight | Run away! Run away! |
| The two other Knights join him, but they stop upon seeing Kevin in front of them. Kevin morphs his hands into sledgehammers. | |
| Kevin | Bad idea. |
| Kevin strikes the ground in intimidation. The Forever Knights turn and run to their right, only for the dark corridor to be illuminated by Gwen and her Manna. | |
| Gwen | Lady or the tiger, boys. Your choice. Okay, not really. |
| Gwen blasts them with Manna. | |
| The Forever Knights are wrapped in an iron bar. Rath ties the bar together. | |
| Rath | Wanna try for two falls out of three?! |
| Forever Knight | (groans) |
| Rath | Huh? |
| Rath turns back into Ben. | |
| Ben | Be that way. See if I care. (to Kevin and Gwen) So the Forever Knights aren't sneaking around anymore? |
| Gwen | They're definitely getting bolder. |
| Kevin | But they're not getting any smarter. |
| Outside the freighter, the trio walk to Kevin's Car. | |
| Kevin | C'mon, hop in. I'll drop you guys off at home. (puts on ID Mask) |
| Ben | Can we stop by Mr. Smoothy's on the way? |
| The trio enter the car. | |
| Kevin | Not tonight. I got to get home. |
| Ben | To be honest, I'm surprised you even have a home. |
| Gwen | Nice. |
| The car drives off. | |
| Kevin | I don't really stay there, but my mom needed a place. |
| Gwen | So that garage that your friend "lets you use"... |
| Kevin | It's at my mom's place. What? You think I live in a tent in the middle of the woods? |
| Ben | Either there, or in some cool underground cave. |
| Gwen | (giggles) |
| At Ben's House, Kevin drops Ben and Gwen off and drives away. | |
| Kevin pulls up at his mother's house and exits the car. | |
| Kevin | What do you know? I'm actually on time for a– |
| Kevin sees something, and is horrified. | |
| Kevin | No! |
| The front door is broken down, and several windows are broken. Kevin runs inside and take off his ID Mask. | |
| Kevin | Mom?! |
| Kevin looks around the house. Everything is trashed. Kevin moves a fallen bookshelf over. | |
| Kevin | Mom?! Please! |
| Kevin's Mother | Kevin... |
| Kevin turns around to see his mother, unharmed, and holding grocery bags. She puts them on a desk. | |
| Kevin's Mother | I was out shopping. |
| Kevin and his mother hug. | |
| Kevin | What happened here? |
| Kevin's Mother | It... It looks like we were robbed. |
| Kevin | The TV's still here, and your jewelry box. Looks more like the place was searched. |
| Kevin's Mother | Searched? |
| Kevin spots and picks up a shattered photo of a young Kevin and another, older man. | |
| Kevin | Ugh, look what they did... |
| Kevin's Mother | Honey, there's something I should've told you a long time ago... |
| Day. Outside Ben's House. | |
| Ben (VO) | Hey Gwen, if a sailboat drops a 355 foot anchor line and drifts until the line is tight... |
| Inside, Ben and Gwen are reading. | |
| Ben | ...and the anchor line makes an angle of 80° with the water line, how deep is the water? |
| Gwen | Just curious? |
| Ben | Aw, you know me. I like to think about things. |
| Gwen | If I give you the answers, you'll never learn anything. |
| Ben | Hey, I thought no child was supposed to be left behind. |
| Kevin enters. | |
| Kevin | If you don't pass trig, I'm pretty sure that's not true. |
| Gwen | I thought you had plans. What's up? |
| Kevin | Need some answers. |
| Ben | Forget it. She won't give me one lousy answer. |
| Kevin | Not a joke, Tennyson. What can either of you tell me about an alien creep named Ragnarok? |
| Ben | Never heard of him. What are you working on? |
| Kevin | None of your business. I need to find the guy is all. |
| Gwen | (stands) We'll help. |
| Kevin | I didn't ask for help! I asked for information. If you don't have any, stay out of this! |
| Kevin leaves. Ben stands, smiling. | |
| Gwen | Yeah. Like that's gonna happen. |
| Ben | I'll get my jacket. |
| Inside the Rustbucket II. | |
| Max | Ben. Gwen. Well, this is a pleasant surprise. You kids interested in one of my famous Wombat Omelettes? |
| Gwen | Maybe later. |
| Ben | Grandpa, have you ever heard of someone called Ragnarok? |
| Max drops his pan. | |
| Max | (dead serious) Where did you hear that name? |
| Ben | From Kevin. He's out looking for the guy. |
| Gwen | We're trying to help. |
| Max | Then he must have found out. |
| Ben | Found out what? |
| Max | It started years ago... |
| In space, a Plumber Ship dodges laser blasts from a much larger ship. | |
| Max (VO) | ...while I was still an active Plumber... |
| Plumber (VO) | Max. He's getting closer. |
| Inside the Plumber Ship, Max drives the ship alongside a younger Plumber, the man in the photo in Kevin's Mother's House. | |
| Max (VO) | I had a young partner in those days. A young energetic, likable fella. |
| Max | Ship won't go any faster, Devin. |
| Devin | Have you tried flapping your arms? |
| The ship continues to evade the laser bolts. | |
| Max | He really wants back what you took from him. |
| Devin | What else was I supposed to do? The guy steals the energy from stars for a living and sells it to the highest bidder, remember? I wasn’t about to let him suck our sun dry and kill six billion people. |
| Max | So you stole the key that activates his Energy-Vortex. I know, I'm the one who bailed your butt out of there. |
| Devin | Thanks, by the way. Now drive faster. |
| The enemy ship hits the Plumber Ship from behind. Inside the ship, computers spark and turn off. | |
| Max | Blast took out our energy coupling. Shields are down! We're dead in space. |
| The ship is still as the larger enemy ship casts a shadow over it. Inside the Plumber Ship, Ragnarok teleports in. | |
| Ragnarok | Where did you hide my key? |
| Max and Devin jump out of their seats and fire their laser guns at Ragnarok, who is unfazed. | |
| Devin | (to Max) Well that's a whole lotta useless. |
| Ragnarok fires his solar beams at the two, who roll out of the way. They fire as they run for cover, avoiding Ragnarok's blasts. | |
| Max | (to Devin) I'm gonna try for the Null Void Projector. |
| Devin nods, and the two run at and blast Ragnarok. Reaching the other side of the cockpit, Max puts his hand on a scanner, opening the ship's armory. Ragnarok blasts the armory, sending Max falling backwards. Devin fires at Ragnarok and runs, giving Max time to recover and the two to head for cover. | |
| Devin | I'm empty. |
| Devin takes off his glove. | |
| Max | Devin, don't! You know what could happen if you use your powers. |
| Devin | I know what will happen if I don't. |
| Devin gets up, grabs a sparking wire with his exposed hand, and starts absorbing energy. The energy flows through his body and shoots it out his other hand at Ragnarok, seemingly knocking him out. Devin's gloved hand is steaming. | |
| Devin | (sighs) This is not my day. |
| The still awake Ragnarok knocks Devin down, and rips off the console that Max was hiding behind. Ragnarok throws it away and charges solar attacks at them. | |
| Ragnarok | Enough games. Where is my key. |
| Devin | You tried checking under the couch? |
| Ragnarok | How noble. Willing to sacrifice your lives for your principles. (aims both arms at Max) But will you be quite so cavalier with the life of your partner? |
| Devin | No! |
| Max | Don't worry about me, Devin. If the choice is me or the Solar System, it's no choice at all. |
| Ragnarok | Last chance. (to Devin) My key or your friend. Which will it be? |
| Devin | ...You'll get nothing from me. |
| Ragnarok | Your friend it is then. |
| Ragnarok fires his solar blast, but Devin jumps in the way, taking the hit. | |
| Max | Devin! |
| Max runs to the armory, and grabs the Null Void Projector. | |
| Max | You'll pay for that, monster! |
| Max activates the Projector, while Ragnarok fires a solar beam. The beams clash, soon enveloping Ragnarok and sending him into the Null Void. | |
| Ragnarok | (screams) |
| The portal closes. Max rushes over to Devin. | |
| Devin | Ngh. Ragnarok? |
| Max | In the Null Void. Where he belongs. You just rest easy. You're gonna be okay. |
| Devin | Ahh... We both know that's not true, pal. Still, it's not a bad way to go, saving the world. |
| Max | Devin, no! No, stay with me. |
| Devin | (grunts) I'll always be with you, Max. You tell my wife... and son... I love them. |
| Devin's hand goes limp as he dies. | |
| Max | I will, old friend. You have my word. I promise they'll be proud. |
| Back in the Rustbucket II, Max, Ben, and Gwen are sitting down. | |
| Max | We tried to find Ragnarok's Ship, but it disappeared when he was sucked into the Null Void. |
| Ben | But what does Kevin want with him? |
| Max | My partner's name was Devin Levin. Ragnarok... is the monster who murdered Kevin's father. |
Act 2
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| Night, inside a storage unit. Ragnarok is searching the place, throwing various objects around. | |
| Ragnarok | Where is it, Plumber? Where did you hide it? |
| Kevin | (walking in; now in his Elemental Form) What difference does it make? You'll never get to use it. |
| Ragnarok | You're an Osmosian, yes? Who are you. |
| Kevin | My name is Kevin Ethan Levin. You killed my father. Prepare to die. |
| Kevin morphs his hands into a spiked ball and sledgehammer and rushes at Ragnarok. | |
| Kevin | (screams) |
| Kevin swings his hammer hand at Ragnarok, who deflects the attack and crashes Kevin's face into the wall. Ragnarok throws Kevin through the garage door and outside the storage unit. | |
| Ragnarok | So, the Plumber spawned before I eliminated him, eh? Then you can tell me where to find my key. |
| Kevin | Not even if I knew, murderer. |
| Kevin again swings at Ragnarok, who dances around Kevin and blasts him with a solar beam, hurdling him through the storage unit. Ragnarok picks Kevin up by the neck and throws him along a series of storage units to the parking lot. Ragnarok slowly walks to a panting Kevin and charges up another solar beam. | |
| Ragnarok | The key. Now! |
| Kevin | Never gonna happen. |
| Ragnarok fires, destroying several cars. The smoke clears, revealing Kevin to be unharmed, thanks to a Manna shield. Kevin turns to see Ben and Gwen walk in. | |
| Gwen | (to Kevin) We tracked you with your Plumber's Badge. |
| Kevin | I told you to stay out of this! |
| Ben | Since when have we ever listened to you? |
| Ben activates the Omnitrix and turns into Lodestar. | |
| Lodestar | Lodestar! |
| Ragnarok | A Biotsavartian? Interesting. |
| Lodestar magnetizes two garage doors parallel with Ragnarok, which crash into him. Ragnarok easily pushes the doors off. | |
| Lodestar | My magnetic personality makes me more than a match for you. |
| Lodestar fires his magnetic waves at Ragnarok, who responds with his solar beams, which deflect the waves. Kevin pushes Lodestar away. | |
| Kevin | No! |
| Gwen | Kevin! What are you doing? |
| Kevin | (morphs hands again into a spiked ball and hammer) He's mine! (screams) |
| Kevin runs at Ragnarok, but is quickly punched in the face and thrown to the ground. Ragnarok's counterattack is interrupted by Gwen throwing her Manna discs at him. As Ragnarok steps back, Lodestar picks up a car with magnetism and throws it at him, exploding the car. The trio look at the fire, only for Ragnarok to step out, unharmed. | |
| Ragnarok | This is obviously a waste of time. The key isn't here, but I will find it. |
| Ragnarok teleports away. Lodestar reverts back to Ben. Kevin stands up. | |
| Kevin | Gone. This is all your fault! You let him get away! I told you not to butt in! |
| Gwen | We're your friends, Kevin. We're not letting you go through this alone. |
| Ben | We're gonna help you catch this creep if it's the last thing we do. |
| Kevin | Right. Capture. |
| Kevin starts walking away. | |
| Ben | So this key he's looking for. Do you know where it is? |
| Kevin | Not a clue. |
| Gwen | Are you sure? Maybe you just don't know you know. |
| Kevin | What do you mean? |
| Gwen | If the information is buried deep in your subconscious, maybe I can help you find it. |
| Gwen touches Kevin's face. | |
| Kevin | You serious? |
| Kevin's eyes turn pink as Gwen uses her powers. | |
| Gwen | Serious as Ben's trig final. And this won't hurt, I promise. |
| Gwen's eyes likewise turn pink. | |
| Gwen | That's it, Kevin. I can feel our connection. |
| After a sudden flash of pink, Gwen recoils. | |
| Gwen | (gasps) |
| Kevin | Gwen, are you okay? |
| Gwen | Couldn't be better. I know where the key is. |
| Inside Kevin's Mother's House, the trio are searching the place. | |
| Kevin | You sure about this? |
| Gwen | Trust me, Kevin. I'm... |
| Gwen's eyes flash pink as she notices something. She walks to and picks up the the picture of Kevin and Devin. | |
| Gwen | Uh-This is it! (hands picture to Kevin) |
| Ben | Uh... hate to break it to you, Gwen, but that's just a picture. |
| Kevin | Of me and my dad. It's one of the few reminders I have of him. |
| Suddenly, Ragnarok teleports in. | |
| Ragnarok | At last. |
| Ragnarok fires a solar blast at the trio, who are knocked around, Kevin dropping the photo. Ragnarok walks over to Kevin and picks up the photo. | |
| Kevin | No! Don't touch that! |
| Ragnarok kicks Kevin in the head while he's down. Ragnarok takes out the photo, crushes it, and tosses it aside. Ragnarok takes the picture frame and twists it, turning it into his key. | |
| Ragnarok | Ingenious, your father. |
| Kevin (VO) | Give it back! |
| Kevin, now standing up, whacks Ragnarok with his spiked mace hand. Ragnarok easily knocks him back down. | |
| Ragnarok | We've already played this game, whelp. (charges solar attack) You know how it ends. |
| Ragnarok is hit in the back by a Manna bolt, hurdling him forwards. Ragnarok turns to see Gwen and Ben. | |
| Ben | Then let's try it with another player. |
| Ben activates the Omnitrix and turns into Diamondhead. | |
| Diamondhead | Diamondhead! |
| Ragnarok | You are truly beginning to annoy me. |
| Ragnarok fires a solar beam at Diamondhead, but the Petrosapien absorbs the laser and fires it back at Ragnarok, knocking him into the wall. | |
| Diamondhead | No extra charge, it's part of the service. |
| Diamondhead shapeshifts his hands into spiked stumps and shoots crystals at Ragnarok. Ragnarok leaps and is able to narrowly dodge all of the spikes. | |
| Diamondhead | Ready to quit? |
| Kevin rushes Ragnarok once again. Ragnarok punches Kevin in the gut. | |
| Kevin | (pained grunt) |
| Ragnarok punches Kevin into Gwen and Diamondhead, knocking them all onto the ground. | |
| Ragnarok | I've wasted enough time with this inanity. Time to finish a job that has gone on waiting for far too long. |
| Ragnarok takes the key and inserts it into the three-point star hole in his head. The hole flashes red. | |
| In Earth's orbit, Ragnarok's Ship appears. | |
| Ragnarok (VO) | My ship, returned from hyperspace where it has been hidden all these years. |
| Back in Kevin's Mother's House, the trio get back on their feet. Diamondhead has reverted back into Ben. | |
| Ragnarok | It's only the key which holds my ship in this dimension. Call it a safety precaution. |
| Kevin | There's nowhere you can hide from me! |
| Ragnarok | I'm about to extinguish your sun, Levin. Your world will die. We shall not meet again. |
| Gwen tries to grab Ragnarok with a Manna construct, but he teleports away. Gwen only manages to grab a ball of energy, which she pulls back to her. | |
| Ben | Too late. |
| Gwen | Maybe not. He's pulled that trick one too many times. |
| Gwen reveals the energy orb in her hands. | |
| Gwen | I locked onto his energy signature just as he teleported. If I did this right, maybe we can piggyback on the same signal. |
| Kevin | Then what are we waiting for? |
| Gwen expands the yellow orb to surround the three of them, teleporting them away. | |
Act 3
| Speaker | Dialogue |
|---|---|
| Inside Ragnarok's Ship, a yellow orb expands as Ben, Gwen, and Kevin teleport in. The trio run up against a wall, but Ben stops partway. | |
| Ben | (groans) That trip make anyone else seasick? |
| Kevin grabs Ben and pulls him to him and Gwen. | |
| Kevin | Man up, Tennyson. (looks around) Where's Ragnarok? |
| Gwen | No sign of him. |
| Kevin | We'll split up and search. You go port, I'll go starboard. |
| Ben | Hey, who died and made you boss? |
| Kevin | If you've got a problem with it, you. |
| Ben and Kevin stare each other down. Gwen grabs Ben by the arm. | |
| Ben | Hey! |
| Gwen | (drags Ben away) We can cover more ground this way. Come on. |
| Ben and Gwen are walking down a corridor. | |
| Ben | I've never seen Kevin like this. It's like he's a different person. |
| Gwen | He's going through a lot, Ben. He idolizes his father and... (realizes; turns to Ben) We have to find Ragnarok before Kevin does. I'm afraid of what he might do. |
| Ben | Kevin? C'mon, he talks all tough, but he would never– |
| Kevin leans in through another hallway. | |
| Kevin | Guys, quick! Come here! |
| Kevin runs, Ben and Gwen follow him. Catching up, Kevin points into a doorway. | |
| Kevin | This way! I've found him! |
| Ben and Gwen run in. | |
| Ben | Better be ready for any– (he and Gwen stop and turn; to Kevin) Hey, what is this! |
| Kevin pushes a button, closing a glass door. | |
| Gwen | It's an escape pod. |
| Ben | This isn't funny, Levin! Let us out! |
| Kevin | Just remember, Tennyson: I asked you to stay out of this. |
| Kevin slams on an orange button, sealing the ship and rocketing the escape pod back down to Earth. Ben and Gwen stare at Ragnarok's Ship through the window. | |
| Gwen | Oh, Kevin. What have you done? |
| Ben | There's got to be a way for us to get back there. |
| Gwen | It's on autopilot to Earth. No controls. No spacesuits. Kevin is on his own. |
| Ben | Just like he planned it. |
| On the bridge of Ragnarok's Ship and starts opening the front window, revealing the sun in the distance with the ship's three prongs pointing at it. Adjusting the switches and dials, the ring surrounding the cockpit turns perpendicular to it, as the ship's outer ring unfurls. | |
| Ragnarok | Energy Vortex activated. Commencing solar power drain in five... (the Ship's Energy Vortex mechanism and prongs glow) four... three... two... |
| Kevin (VO) | Done! |
| Ragnarok turns to see Kevin right behind him. | |
| Ragnarok | You again. I should have eliminated you when I had the chance. |
| Kevin | Your mistake. |
| Ragnarok places his hand on a handprint scanner, starting the Energy Vortex. Solar energy is pulled from the sun in a spiral and is sent into the ship's outer ring panels. Solar energy flows through the ship, emitting out of yellow bulbs and into the inner ring mechanism in the cockpit. Kevin looks horrified. | |
| Ragnarok | This time, I'll finish the job. |
| Ragnarok runs and swings at Kevin, who dodges. Kevin shapeshifts his hands once more into a spiked mace and sledgehammer. | |
| Kevin | One of us will. |
| Kevin smashes the ships console and equipment. | |
| Ragnarok | Stop! You don't know what you're doing! |
| Kevin | I know exactly what I'm doing. I'm saving the Earth, and avenging my dad! |
| Ragnarok | The energy vortex has a delicate balance. Disrupt its control feed and it can implode. |
| Ragnarok fires a solar blast at Kevin, who rolls out of the way, accidentally causing him to blast his own equipment. | |
| Kevin | Thanks for the tip. |
| Kevin runs to the main controls and continues smashing. Ragnarok rushes in and punches Kevin in the back, before throwing him away. The ship and its computers begin to spark as the solar energy starts to spiral back to the sun. | |
| Ragnarok | The Vortex is destabilized! |
| The ship starts to explode as the inner mechanism blows off and smashes the window. Pieces of the ship start getting sucked into the vacuum of space as Ragnarok runs away, with Kevin chasing him. A piece of debris smashes the bridge, causing the two of them to fall to the floor where they too start to get sucked in. Kevin shapeshifts his hand into a blade, which he uses to hook himself into the floor, stopping himself just before he can fall into space. | |
| Ragnarok (VO) | Please. |
| Ragnarok is holding onto a loose wire for dear life. He reaches an arm out to Kevin. | |
| Ragnarok | Take my hand. Save me. |
| Kevin | Save you? You killed my dad, remember? |
| Ragnarok | Yes, your father. He was a Plumber, an honorable man. He would never let anyone die, if he could help it. |
| The wire starts to tear off. | |
| Ragnarok | Please! For your father. |
| Holding onto a safety handle, Kevin reaches back... and pulls Ragnarok's key out of his forehead. | |
| Ragnarok | No. |
| Kevin | For my father. |
| The wire finally snaps, sending Ragnarok into the vacuum of space directly into the sun and his ship explodes. | |
| On Earth, outside the escape pod, Ben and Gwen watch the ship explode. | |
| Gwen | Kevin! |
| Gwen throws herself into Ben's chest and cries. | |
| Gwen | Oh, Kevin! |
| Ben | He was a hero, Gwen. Right to the very end. |
| Kevin (VO) | And then some. |
| Ben and Gwen turn to see Kevin emerging from the woods. | |
| Kevin | Nice to know you guys appreciate me. |
| Ben | You're alive?! |
| Gwen runs into Kevin's arms, hugging him. | |
| Gwen | I was worried. |
| Kevin | Hey, I'm a survivor, remember? Guess I got it from my dad. (starts walking away) Like saving the world. |
| Ben | And Ragnarök? |
| Kevin | Didn't make it. |
| Ben and Gwen briefly look at each other as Kevin walks back to Bellwood. | |
